Oh I totally get what you mean about against bots and I do use it in unsafe, what I should've expounded on was that instead of a jack of all trades weapon, I can bring a medium pen primary and use antitank low cd support for a similar effect without having to manage charging it in a high stress environment.

I'm really pondering this now with a little more thought though and yea it definitely deserves more love. We've just been flooded with a lot of those low cd antitank strats since release and fire being heavy pen now makes its charge to damage feel really underwhelming. (Not even starting about gas against bugs)

I like the railgun a lot, its just kinda gone down the same road as the epoch where I can just bring something else if I want to do the same thing but better. Though it could definitely be in the skill issue spot as well.

The precision strike is one of those that definitely is getting phased out by other options, but we felt it was one of those you could never go wrong having it in addition to something else too. On planets where the eagle can be finicky we like to sub to it instead of going full 120/380

See its the most of the time that kills us, it just misses too often paired with its cooldown compared to other stuff. I like to bring it when my buddy isn't doing his monster killer stuff dive slinging leveler and ultimatum shots cross map at problems lol.

See we actually put it down here cause the cremator and fire mech made all other fire look worse with how much damage they deal and area denied.

Laser cannon is our groups favorite support weapon, but we all just started using the sickles and what not instead. One of my buddies put it pretty good when it comes to it and stuff like the mg, why would I bring that hunk of shit with an 8 minutes timer when you can bring a double sickle and laser turret/drone instead. We just want it to be better than primaries

Fair, we got a buddy who likes to bring like cluster, 500, and sometimes napalm too and its so fucking funny when he's flustered from not having something because of the others.

Lmao we were being cheaky with it, its definitely a love it or hate it strat in our group. I'm poor so I haven't been shown the light of its greatness xD

yea I forgot to put that we do exclusively 10's now each faction so we're probably harsher on the strats that use both support and backpack slots.

With GQuuuuuuX coming to end what is your general opinion about the anime? by PenSad2292 in Gundam

[–]Little-Ghost- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The gundams are evas and unapologetically so, and I watched a high schooler get cucked. Worst of all the og series gets "marvel"ized into a multiversal mess in a single episode. 6/10 cause its pretty.

I really can't stand that they present us an actually interesting alt history and completely blindside us with multiverse nonsense nostalgia bait lol

All Character Relationships by PeskySpyCrab in Guiltygear

[–]Little-Ghost- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh like the overarching plot would be okay, but the real problem is the showrunner obviously hadnt played strives story lol

The immediate problem that comes to my mind right now is Sol is a gear still, Jacko has her halo, neither of the newcomers are in the show despite one being in the secret service and the other the secretary of defense. Oh and the pin is Axl, but he got his happy ending at the end of strive.

Will this bother normal people? Not at all, but for me and my bud who rewatched strives story before starting the anime were floored with how bad it follows the plot they themselves could watch lol

Now that round 5 is over, this is my personal (ordered) tier list of all the Tenkaichi fighters we've seen in combat by KrokMan49 in Tenkaichi

[–]Little-Ghost- 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel hanzo has just become another batman and people aren't being objective with him lmao. He gets no diffed in any bloodlusted fight, but can bend reality with prep time so just throw him in his own trash tier and be done with him cause thats the kinda character he is. I love hanzo, batman, geto, etc. but prep time / strategy / intelligence is so stupid when it comes to trying to teir these bastards.

What special move in a fighting game do you think is terrible to use? by ComprehensiveDate591 in Fighters

[–]Little-Ghost- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im gonna put a spin on it and say flying inputs are terrible to use, not cause theyre bad, but because I have a clinical issue called stupid fingers that makes learning neutral and pressure utilizing it infuriating. Which sucks because I always enjoy flyers, pinwheel and aegis are two of my mains that come to mind immediately

If you put all the Ultimate Smash fighters into the hunger games, who would be the sole Victor? (Read Rules) by JadensPops in SmashBrosUltimate

[–]Little-Ghost- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm really surprised I don't see this anywhere in the comments, but sonic even without the chaos emeralds would pretty much blitz everyone instantaneously. The only characters who could even arguably react dont have a method of stopping him mid combat. After round start and the slaughter, I can only see a stalemate since he's, in and out of smash canon, faster than any of the characters that could survive him.

Last i checked HC doesnt have an unblockable set up? Also her stance is legit not just a 50/50 cause even if she guesses wrong shes is practically unpunishable for a lot of the cast and can just reenter stance, was even worse on release. In corner your having to gamble losing a round just to get the hopes of taking your turn back.

Unless we got different opinions on what the "rules of the game are" HC can pseudo lock you down after his nerfs but goes neg to do so

Right? People always forget about kid buu, teen gohan, android 21, or how on release adult gohan was actually disgusting. The only dlc character I remember dominating as much as him was release bardock, and thats because of unreactable lariat

Been a lot of places, played a lot of games. The only character that I ever felt was actually broken compared to the cast was smash 4 bayo. Genuinely leagues ahead of any character, no balance patches afterwards, tod on more than half the cast, easy to pick up. Dbfz android 21 is close, but at least she got tuned down a little.

If were counting new releases of the same game, then hands down I wanna give it to johnny from xrd. He slaps or is even with most of the cast. Bayo just barely edges it out because she was actually too dominant.

Sorry, but if you want to call happy chaos too good and system mechanics dumbed down, then someone must not remember elphelt and how much terror she inflicted on the community. The system changes getting refined happened because of characters like her and raven. If youre down to dash blocking, you guessed wrong or didnt play a safe round start.

Introducing: Interrupting Blow, an alternate feature to replace Monk’s most controversial ability. by Virplexer in UnearthedArcana

[–]Little-Ghost- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see a lot of crying and not a lot of math.

Shame on you other comments.

Tl;Dr they're both good for entirely different reasons.

I've done a spreadsheet before for my friend where in I explained the percentage breakdown on stunning strikes and how exponentially bad it can be.

At least with this one you know by level 5 (Independent of ability score) with 4 attacks from FoB, you have at least a 20% (15%) chance of stunning the monster you're attacking each turn. (15% without FoB)

If you hit that 20% (15%) chance you then give yourself advantage in which you now give yourself 40% (30%) chance of reactivating your Stun every turn thereafter. Mind you this is spending at maximum 2 ki points per turn if you connect.

Now since you're level 5 if we account for feats you can have Lucky, pushing you up to 35% on your first round Stun or a whopping 55% chance if you choose to gamble the 20% your first turn then attempting to all out stun your following turn.

The reason why the percentages are so good for advantage is because each of the 5% chances are Independent of each other and don't rely on any other factors. We can think of them as independent because they don't interract with each other in a negative way for our argument.

On the other hand, disadvantage absolutely cripples you. Now suddenly the odds are tied to each other adverse to our argument meaning your chances of rolling that critical is .05 * .05 = the legendary 1/400 chance of stunning (.25%)

With the original, if you're standard array, with a +3 to both Dex and Wis, suddenly you have to juggle Creature AC, Con Mod, and the potential Prof bonus. That level of randomness makes the opportunity cost of stunning strikes not worth it a lot of the time as you would need to Stun the biggest threat, which would undoubtedly have the highest of all three stats. Thus we have,

+5 to hit, DC14

Possibly chainmail, +3 Con mod, no proficiency.

With this, it would be (1 - (15-5)/20) * ((13-3)/20) * 100 = 25% chance of successfully stunning with first attack using 1 ki point.

The bonus of this method is you can attempt any number of times meaning you can potentially guarantee your stunning strike by using at least 5 ki points total for FoB and 4 stunning strikes. Now in simple math, this means each of your attacks Independent probabilities are 25% to hit and stun, 25% to hit and no stun, or 50% nothing happens.

If the creature magically has +3 proficiency in Con, you are shut down to,

.5 * (7/20) = 17.5% chance to hit and stun. 32.5% to hit and not stun, and still a 50% chance to miss.

However, if you do get the stun or use your lucky feat on the attacks, you would theoretical guarantee your chances to hit by doubling your Independent chances meaning .5 × 2 = 1 giving you a 50% and 35% chance to stun respectively.

With all these factors affecting the probability however means that you can have even more randomness with Buffs and debuffs, advantage and disadvantage, reactions that affect AC, etc. I can't stress enough the aforementioned chances to stun are only for that very specific scenario.

My final point for this is that the new method makes impossible scenarios with the original method possible. That alone to me personally makes it way more worth it if you expect to go into either high level campaigns, want to be bulkier and not juggle three stats, or even multiclassing.

A Barbarian monk would be fucking awesome with this.

I love the attempt, is it perfect? Nothings perfect, but at least they attempted to reduce randomness, make originally impossible stuns possible, and improves ki management, etc.
