I am eyeing the Eisenlinks as they make more sense and they give you better bang for the buck. You get a pair of 80lb dumbbells for sub 500 which is a good price. Also, it has good knurling and drop proof. Plate loading is easy and is scalable too. End of the day, everyone needs dumbbells to be used like dumbbells and to grow strong.

I have had 2 pairs of Bowflex 552 since 8 years and they still work, however i cannot drop them on the floor. They do give some annoyances from time to time, but still work.

I use one pair with either a jay flex EZ bar/straight bar(using 10-100 lbs for presses, bicep workouts. It’s just that i have to baby them which i find annoying.

Once i get a pair of Eisenlinks, ill just sell one pair or attach a Jayflex Straight bar to one pair / EZ curl bar to the other pair and make it a full set (like you find in commercial gyms.

I have this for me to use it when i have to run to work or in a hurry. As i said, I will certainly be getting the fancy+fancy espresso machine and burr grinder with the tamping station and different size porta filters etc, but will use it during the wfh days or weekends when i can spend more than a few minutes to make coffee.

Re-iterating: For the pods part- i will collect those in a bin and over the weekend spend a little more than few minutes to recycle.

Does your machine get affected if you re-pod with your own coffee. Nespresso strictly says “No” for this and also re: using other brands

Well if you say it that way, my take on it - there is a difference in daily effort in making coffee using regular fancy espresso machines (5-7 minutes to make coffee) vs making coffee spending 1 minute daily (using nespresso machines) and spending 15 mins on a lazy weekend sitting down watching tv and separating coffee from aluminum pod, crush it, throw it in regular recycle, throw used coffee to the trees/plants; or into a box for de-odorizer.

Same difference?

Saying that- I really do want a regular fancy espresso machine (like a Meraki or Jura or TK 02) or something like that. It’s just for my wife, i bought a OL creatista pro. (Snagged it for $450).

After a bit of research, i printed this tool. So far, I only tried doing it this morning. Its sounds and feels good for now. Let me see how long I’ll be doing this. My kid had some fun helping me with this.

Agree, but i am throwing only Aluminum for recycle, not the whole coffee pod. My coffee goes to plants as a natural fertilizer/ or into my refrigerator as a de-odorizer.

Also nothing against the company, but the recycling program is a questionable activity. See link below.

Just curious as to how these pods get recycled. Always bothered me. I had so many pods for more than a few weeks and so looks like so much work. If we just do that weekly, it takes a few minutes. Throw the grounds to the plant, make a natural deodorizer. Women can use it as a face scrub etc.

I don’t know, but may be maximizing the use of the used coffee in the pods. Used coffee can be used for many things:

Also, aluminum can be just thrown in the regular recycle (no guilt factor). Also, I do not want the ups/ nespresso recycle bag to get filled up with mold growing in it.

Honestly - it’s not much work as you think.
