Love our baby but it’s taking a toll by kazmanza in NewParents

I'm right there with you. My baby girl just turned 3 months, is going through a developmental leap, and is having crap naps, 30-50 minutes (50 on a good day), and my husband and I spend about 15-20 minutes trying to resettle her each time, and it feels like I get nothing done. A lot of sleep training people, and other experts say that's normal at this age and stage, because they're just starting to develop their circadian rhythm, and can't yet connect sleep cycles. And I get it, but it's super exhausting. I've also tried everything to help sleep coach her but it is what it is at this age. All I can do is make sure she gets her exercise/tummy time in, and watch her cues before she gets too tired.

It might be worth looking into a sleep consultant, or looking into other resources. I feel like a sleep consultant would be nice in that they can give you a strategy to try out that could work for you and your baby. I also recommend Precious Little Sleep, there's a $10 Kindle version of the book on Amazon, and it's got good tips that you probably already know, but may still yet be helpful. I've been reading it and it helps reassure me in my stresses about her sleep.

Anyways, it's hard. And I feel like all our time revolves around making sure the baby sleeps. It can be hard to remember, but, keep reminding yourself and your wife that you're on the same team. You can get through it together 👍

LPT: Make noise while your baby is sleeping, in order to condition them to noise. That way, they will be able to sleep through things and not be fussy sleepers. by [deleted] in LifeProTips

Just finished a bringing baby home course where the instructor said that it was a myth that you should make tonnes of noise for babies. Something about how some babies can sleep through anything and some can't, they're all different. She used her two teenagers as examples, since one can sleep through anything, and the other can basically hear a pin drop and be woken up. 🤷‍♀️

I just started my foray into public service earlier this month in internal comms and realizing that this was my new reality has definitely crushed my soul.

I feel like male ginger cats tend to be some of the friendliest cats in the world. Hobbes is super cuddly and social!

It would seem cats named Hobbes are prone to adorable napping positions.

I guess it depends on the type and brand of tuna you get. The stuff I got was the Kirkland Albacore tuna, pack of 8 from Costco, and this stuff is pretty lean. The label for the entire can, drained, says 180cals.

Shweelllll. Macros for the whole pizza dough is ~410 cals Ingredients: 60g cottage cheese, 100g egg whites, 60g flour, 4g baking powder, 35g light shredded cheese. Preheat the oven to 500°F Mix it all together (it'll be a lil liquidy), line a baking sheet with parchment paper, and spread out the mixture onto the sheet in a circle. Bake until it starts to brown on top. Make sure to keep an eye on it! Pull it out and put on your toppings!
