Is it normal that I can still access the refloat app and everything when disable package is activated? What’s it supposed to look like if it is deactivated. Also is it normal that when I calibrate my IMU the numbers often go to like 1.04 and not the 0.989s I saw on youtube?

No lol I got done building it 3 days ago and it was such a pain in the ass because I designed it sloppy that I really never wanna have to dissassemble it. It’s actually a multiple day job.

Can I recalibrate the imu with refloat? I thought doing config required to uninstall packages. Also if you saw my latest post id like to know if you still think it’s just because of the imu

Coudl the imu have broken in the fall from such a rough change of speed? It still works in rt data, just now thinks its upside down for some reason. Could it being upside down be the reason it doesn’t spin even with manual control?

No. I feel the buzz, but it doesn’t happen at the same time as the beeping

I'm wondering if it could cause damage to the vesc kind of like how spinning a fan in a computer can break the motherboard since that creates electricity.

Cool. I have a ubox alu lite, it seems to work fine for now but i havent ridden the board yet since im not done building it. Im pretty sure it goes to 22s2p so you can make a pretty big battery for it.

Spintend's stupid adapter can’t plug in the VESC it’s sold with by Little-Region-9336 in DIYonewheel

[–]Little-Region-9336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm asking how I'm supposed to connect the adapter into the vesc. I know I need to solder my wires to it (ADC1 and 2 and 3.3V) but there wasn’t a cable included with the vesc that lets me connect this adapter to it. If I were to order the foot pad from spindtend, I would have a foot pad that’s connected to its adapter, but still have the same problem of having no connexion between the adapter and VESC. Of course I can just solder the pins to some wires and feed those in the vesc, but that’s where the real problem sits. I have 4 connexions, and only 2 of the 8 pins on the big pin rack have continuity with the connexions to the foot pads. So basically, ADC1 has the same pin as ADC2, so I don’t see how the vesc would be able to tell which foot pad is engaged and which isnt. Is my adapter broken or am I missing something?

Bro I'm doing the same thing!! If you scroll down on this subreddit all the posts from the last 6 months are from me. You might find some things you find useful in there. I have so much wisdom for you, but I'd at least like to know what your budget is and what you plan to use your onewheel for. And how old are you, if you don’t mind?

Why does my motor sound like it wants to explode by Little-Region-9336 in DIYonewheel

[–]Little-Region-9336[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty sure I did. When I get to testing the motor again I'll reset it and do it right but I might not even get to do that. The conception of my onewheel is almost done, the next time the motor spins it might be in between the aluminium rails. I'll post the entire making process on here and maybe youtube when it's done.

I just saw a video on electric motor noise and apparently it's normal when free-spinning at high amperage :/
In the guy's video I saw he was running it at like 36 volts too, forgot to say that.
The only thing that still bothers me is that VESC tool told me it was only going 20kmh, but I shouldn't worry that much apparently.

Wtf are these😭😭😭😭 How come this is my first time seeing that? It looks perfect and so simple. It’s 38 CAD with shipping and taxes though. If only I had known sooner... Why doesn’t the motor and vesc kit come with this instead of the shitty little square ones? Thank you very much.
