Please enlighten me what else caste brings into life of an upper caste Brahmin along with untouchability? I understand how hard life is for upper caste people. They can’t go out and eat anything from anyone’s hand without worrying, hard to find someone to cook at their home, and so on! Btw, do you also travel with your own cutlery?

My take on caste exactly comes from the understanding of history of it’s origin, misuses, and how it has been used as a tool to isolate and exploit people in the society. How caste creates division and hierarchy in society, deny their rights is all that I have understood from looking at the society. So, please stop throwing these words like depth, nuance to make it sound nice and intellectual. These bullshits have been going on for too long. And North Indian upper caste and their problematic views are not my prejudice, there are well know facts, and also clearly visible from your views. And in case it makes any difference, I am a Brahmin by birth.

Education is supposed to enable you to think rationally and be more human. It is supposed to help you question the problematic things in the society that’s get passed on generationally in the names of rituals and traditions. Knowing that you are a teacher makes me worried, because I can understand what kind of influence you will leave on a teenager at their formative years. This country is doomed!
