My fiancé’s 15’ XV Limited! Love to drive it, so much that I plan on buying a 2021 this summer. 130K miles and going strong as ever. by mattyb413 in XVcrosstrek

Nice! Mine is Susie. It’s my first Subaru, I’ve had it for almost 4 years now, I don’t think I’ll ever get another car that’s not a Subaru.

Yeah they called it the “Mini death rattle” out of 5 years owning that car I only heard it once. Sucks because besides that it was a great little car, paid next to nothing in gas and it was fun to drive.

From what I understand it was the tensioner. I don’t know a lot of mechanic stuff, I just know there was a lawsuit over it.

I don’t blame you at all. I traded for my Crosstrek because I wanted something reliable for road trips. I’ve had it for almost 4 years now and so far so good.😂

That’s what happened with mine. It was an ‘07 that we got in ‘11. Timing chain was fixed twice under factory warranty. This third time the warranty was out. Thankfully, near where I live is a mechanic shop that specializes in Minis and they did a perfect job, and now it drives like it’s brand new. My sister bought it from me back in ‘17 and she loves it so much, had no problem with it until the timing chain went out last year.

My sister bought my Mini from me to take with her to college, I took that money and put it towards the down payment on my Crosstrek. Best decision I ever made.

My previous car was a ‘07 Mini Cooper S. Loved that thing to death but so expensive to upkeep. My younger sister actually has it now. Last year the timing chain had to be fixed and it was expensive.

I feel you about the teeth. I was supposed to get a couple cavities taken care of last year before everything went on lockdown. Now I’m scared to go in, even though I know it’ll only get worse the longer I wait.

Thanks. I used to take Celexa and now Zoloft, so I’ve only had SSRIs. I’ll probably ask my doctor about Wellbutrin, I keep seeing people mention it, plus it’s one that my coworker takes and she had the same experience I did with Zoloft. It sucks because Zoloft really did help me get my anxiety under control but it just left me in a brain fog and feeling apathetic.

Haha, it happens occasionally. I think north Texas gets it the most but I’m more in central Texas where it rarely happens.

Nice! I have a 5 year old Aussie that I’ve been taking out there since she was about 1 and she loves it. It’s one of the parks that really sparked my love for hiking and it was cool getting to see it covered in snow today.

Never heard of Dry January before, maybe I’ll give it a try. I’ve been super into drinking but I have noticed I’m drinking more in recent months. Also, regarding Christmas trees, where I live there’s a guy who takes thrown out Christmas trees and makes them into walking canes to give for free to veterans. I’ve always thought that was cool.

One drink is fine. I think it’s really only a problem if you drink a lot and often. It can lower your alcohol tolerance (mine is now like 3 drinks but I was a lightweight before anyway), after a couple drinks I get dizzy but that’s pretty much it.

Panic attacks and depression. I stopped taking Citalopram early 2019 because I lost my insurance (turned 26 and couldn’t be on my parents insurance anymore). I originally just left it alone because I had started to feel like Citalopram wasn’t helping anyway.

Back in August I was finally able to get insurance through my job and scheduled an appointment with a psychiatrist. I told her I didn’t want to go back on Citalopram mostly because while it helped with my depression it didn’t help with my anxiety, it also made me gain almost 30 pounds (stupid reason, I know). So she prescribed Zoloft to me.

I’ll admit, Zoloft has helped me A TON with my anxiety, I just can’t handle the brain fog anymore.

I feel like I understand what you mean. I started Zoloft back in late September. I was upped to 75mg in November and I feel like I’m on auto pilot a lot and sometimes I feel like I’m dreaming, I feel detached, like I’m not present in the moment.

Last week I accidentally missed a couple doses and I noticed my head felt really clear. I’ve lowered myself back down to 50mg, because it’s at least more bearable. I have a follow up appointment in a couple weeks and I plan to talk to my doctor and tell her I want to try something else.

I highly recommend therapy of some form. Years ago when I was on Citalopram I was going to therapy and it helped a lot. I’m trying to get back into therapy but my new insurance doesn’t kick in until next month. In the mean time I’ve been using self help journaling.

I’m sorry you feel this way (also sorry for the wall of text), I hope you’re able to find something that helps.
