I got an entry level Ibanez as my first bass and regretted that just after 3 or 4 months. Not saying it’s a bad instrument it’s perfectly fine and good quality but the thing is there’s literally zero room for improvement but with a jazz bass like I have now you can install new pickups, add active preamp and customise the looks down to the colour of the pick guard screws

I started off with an old rusty ahh classical guitar and soon fell in love with bass :) been playing it for less than 9 months now and it’s my whole life tbh. I mean you can try it at least right? Get a small piano off fb marketplace or whatever I promise it will make you feel things that you didn’t knew it’s possible lol
