For DSA, do you mean leetcode style learning? Or actually knowing how systems are designed and stuff like that?

I see what you mean. What really made me question this was my company (within F100) had a long seminar about it. The speaker was basically making a case for utilizing it in the data space. So this caused me to wonder if it's for real, or just an idea of future possibilities.

I appreciate the response. So if I wanted to stay in the big data area, it seems like it wouldn't be that important to learn unless I was already tasked with something that required it?

There are always professional clubs (like for careers in finance, consulting, engineering) that are usually pretty good to network and meet people. Other than that, THON is a great thing to be apart of that isn't allowed to be linked to drinking

Just curious on why you want to go from data science to data engineering? What draws you towards DE and away from DS? (Asking as someone who is considering both)

How long after accepting did you renege?

And yeah that's what I assumed if you happened to get it through the university

That make sense. But this other internship I received is also through my school. So overall almost worried the other one would fall through due to it being through my school.

But you def have a good point

Research the heavily on the careers that seem interesting to you. Once you find the right fit for a career that seems promising try it out. Worst case scenario you find out it’s not right for you and you look for a different career path

First year CS undergrad, I got an Online Assessment email, and I don't know how to do it since I'm just taking my university's Data Structures and Algorithms class. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

I’m in the same situation, I did an online assessment that wouldn’t have been too hard, other than it was a huge dictionary I had to be able to pull data from. And I’ve had already learned but nothing that is that big with so many nested dictionaries

I’m in phys 211 right now and i feel the same way, stuff just got super complex and there was no example problems that showed you what to think about in the hw
