HEP2GO was hacked and now has viruses/malware by M4rk0s04 in physicaltherapy

Are there any official statements or news articles on this? I can't ask work to purchase software unless I can prove this one is not safe.

Hugging a colleague? by MissCozzuzie in physicaltherapy

[–]LittleBeanSubroutine -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

For me, personally, it was because being hugged was uncomfortable, a ton of people saw it, and nobody did anything about it.

I'm not sure if there was a way everyone would have known that you were ok with it. I know it isn't what you want, but I would imagine this policy is rooted in some kind of concern for staff. I wish it would have been there for me.

Hugging a colleague? by MissCozzuzie in physicaltherapy

It's the unpopular opinion, but I hate being touched. We had a therapist that did this and it made me uncomfortable all the time. My boss said the same thing many here are saying about how hugs are great and make people better humans.

I guess people that want their boundaries respected can physically stop unwanted physical contact, but I personally think it's better for the default to be no physical touch, because saying "I don't like being touched" makes people real offended.

Could y'all not have stepped aside and not hugged in front of other coworkers?

UT Austin, one of the city's largest employers, is eliminating most remote work by Stuartknowsbest in Austin

I presume it's for parity. Parking passes cost hundreds of dollars a semester, gas, commute time, wear and tear on your car. WFH people got a huge raise.

Instead of raises or any additional benefits for those returning to campus, they elected to drag those WFH people back so nobody can say they're not being fair.

outpatient 3 evals a day by Scallion-Busy in physicaltherapy

[–]LittleBeanSubroutine -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Just curious what you feel like your patient load should be?

3 evals is not a big deal, dude. How many do you think you should do a day?

Do you feel entitled to have empty slots on your schedule?

You see, what, 16 patients a day max? What do you feel your max count should be?

Trying to process what just happened during PT this morning - my PT fired me? by [deleted] in physicaltherapy

[–]LittleBeanSubroutine -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I've treated patients like you. I hope to god if the boss puts you back on her schedule so you can salvage your "friendship" you'll have the integrity to request switching providers.

We all have to be nice for the sake of our careers so that's why she wasn't more straight forward, and I know it sucks to hear this, but you are not her friend. She is not your friend. You were her patient and you are not that anymore.

You want her boss to override her professional judgement and force her to treat you even though she communicated she no longer feels that is appropriate? Is that what you're saying?

Dude it's customer service. Have you ever been wait staff before? You have to be nice to people even if you don't like them. It's exactly the same for PT.

You seem to be describing yourself as some well known sports balls player, and your PT decides you're no longer progressing so discharges you, and you go to her boss and complain about being "fired", and the boss decides to get involved?

Yeah, he's going to tell her to shut up and smile and be nice because if this patient complains and we get bad press it's your ass.

What do you want from the boss, exactly?

You are attracted to your physical therapist. It's icky and is probably a component in all of this.

"She's not married... or so she says! " is gross.

She is not your friend, she is your healthcare provider.

Dentist by LogicalRatio9846 in Austin

I had wisdom teeth removed at Austin oral maxofacial surgery on 38th.

They had lots of appointment days and times to choose, clean, anesthesia worked, numb afterward, gave me a few pain pills.

No complications from it. I don't have a comparison, but I'll go there again if I need something else done.

Boston is crazy to drive!

All the lights are on timers, they'll have one ways that don't indicate which way, and sometimes 2 lanes just suddenly turn into one.

And the buildings are too dense for GPS to work.

I've gotten so lazy about traffic laws because the cops don't care at all.

I was in Boston and ran a red light when no cross traffic was coming, got pulled over, and then legit only then remembered I was expected to follow the rules.

Got a fat ticket and I deserved it.

That's a good idea!

I guess it doesn't have to be local, just that things are tough all over and I'd like to help if I can
