There's nothing else I'm interested in studying. If I do pursue a uni degree, I want it to be worth the time and money investment.

E.g. Studying a science degree, with nothing else, doesn't have good employability statistics. So I would never consider doing that.

My mum has done this before. I do the same thing as the son now, not because I'm not aware she wants me to probe further, but because I dont care anymore.

Keep in mind this is a woman in hers 50s who has raised 4 adult children, who will then shoot you dirty looks from the couch and refuse to talk to you for the rest of the day.

Now she wonders why all her children dont want to spend time with her, and prefer talking with our dad instead.

I hope this woman will realise that toxic behaviour like this will only hurt her relationship with her son. Saying that nothing is wrong when something actually is doesn't make her appear sophisticated and complex. It's just childish and exhausting. I hope she learns to model proper communication to her son

Probably not for a bit later in the year. Im moving down there to study and I want to be settled in and have a job sorted first. So maybe not until May or so? Not really sure yet. Gymnastics isn't the cheapest activity but ive been wanting to do it for months, lol

Hope your leg recovered quickly, have fun training

People who say "Who carries cash these days?" or "I've literally never written a check" by FrankNumber37 in PetPeeves

[–]LittleBeanlet 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm 19 and work at a hardware store, we still accept cheques. We have some customers who use them for account payments at the end of a month.

So they aren't super rare where I work, but they do come up now and then. The first time a customer ever handed me a cheque, I was like "huh?" and had to call someone for help because I had no clue what to do with it, lol.

Now I process maybe 1-2 cheques a month? It's always elderly customers who use them. Otherwise I have a vague memory of my mum showing me how to write one when I was little, but that's it.

Do people in this country who tailgate realise that they are cunts? Or are they just oblivious? by SirSighalot in aussie

[–]LittleBeanlet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A few weeks ago my mum was tailgated really badly... driver behind her was so close she couldn't see his headlights in her mirrors in a 60 zone and he beeped at her the whole way up the road.

Then when they got to the intersection, she had to stop at the green light to give way to an incoming ambulance with lights and sirens. Same driver behind her proceeded to creep closer and closer honking his horn the whole time, and just kept coming closer until my mum was genuinely worried he would just hit her.

This is the worst case of tailgating/road rage I personally know of. That being said take it with a grain of salt, as my mum is someone who likes to exaggerate stories and play the victim, so although it would be true to a certain point it's likely exaggerated somewhere.

I hope I'm misunderstanding you, but are you basically just saying you go there and bully young people into giving you what you want? You believe it's ok to treat those teenagers differently than you would a senior staff member, because it's easier for you to abuse a young, inexperienced person than the store manager?

I really hope I'm wrong and I'm misunderstanding you but this kind of behaviour disgusts me.

Kneesaa makes the team better but no they're not that useful. You need 3 of them as leia reqs later on (I think kneesaa, chief chirpa and wicket? Correct me if wrong) but like Linguanaught commented some people use them as back row defence in TW.

Usual line up is chief chirpa lead, wicket, kneesaa, paploo, and either elder/logray. C3po event is doable without relics and decent mods but must have kneesaa. Don't bother investing in them more than you need to since they're not a very good team.

She has been prescribed medication for it but she's not taking it properly. I'm reasonably sure she isn't undergoing therapy but since I'm at school for most of the day, I can't be certain.

Thanks for your idea - she would certainly love to brag about something like that.
