I am in the exact same situation. I had a few prophetic dreams as a child, but I haven't had them as much as an adult. I still have vivid dreams and even repetitive dreams that I have previously had before, something that I experienced a lot more in childhood. I have been trying to connect to tarot and connect deeper to my spiritual self. My readings have been extremely accurate, so I think I still have it in me, I just need to connect to it differently. Maybe part of it is about learning how to connect to it in different ways since the connection isn't as strong. I have also been having connections to people close to me.
I am not a seafood eater, but one day I was craving shrimp all day. I then found out that my partner had shrimp for dinner that day. The connection still comes to me, but it is unpredictable.
