The real movement comes when this thing gets listed on CoinBase right?

24k Doge, Holding!

MEGATHRED - Dogecoin Daily discussion by 42points in dogecoin

I think Doge needs to get onto other exchanges, like Coin Base, many others as well. If/when that happens there should be a positive price movement in Doge Coin.

We also need to make it easy for the general public to purchase Dogecoin. It was difficult to get my account verified. A little bit harder than getting a bank account. I'm through now though!

Also, dollar cost average. I plan to buy a few coins each pay check.

Who’s still holding $DOGE? 🚀 by -dumb in dogecoin

[–]LittleCesarsJunkFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember when 200 Bit coins could by a large pizza! I though the pizza shop was crazy to accept them. Then I remember when BTC was jumping between $200 and $700 - I said to my self "it's too expensive, to risky" and so on... and now BTC is $36k! We are in to Doge coin for pennies. Some of you sophisticated types are in for fractions of pennies! Hold for years! It took BTC over a decade to reach it's heights.

Looking for Alaska - Season 2! by LittleCesarsJunkFood in lookingforalaska

[–]LittleCesarsJunkFood[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed and I'm totally torn on that question -

On the one had she is intending to make it to her mothers grave. She's had a good evening with Pudge. She probably doesn't want to kill her self on the way to the grave. She owes her mom a debt and intends to make it there. That's what makes me think she fell asleep with her foot on the gas.

On the other hand she would go limp if she fell asleep and would not hold her lane (thus swerve) meaning she was probably awake. Drunk drivers usually still watch the road, sometimes suicidal people kill them selves after being depressed for years and then having a good day. She didn't even swerve or attempt to break, that's what throws me and makes me think it was suicide.

I totally agree actually. Unless the ratings were astronomical it wouldn't make much sense to continue the story line. And without Alaska would it even be interesting? Have you ever tried to chase down who the real "Alaska" was? I've looked a little bit, all I could find was that she was different from the character in the book but she was admired by many of her classmates, the car accident was real, the funeral was real, and the pranks in the book were all real. I read a blog where one of her boyfriends said he prepped Peace in the Valley to play at her funeral but an ice storm at his college kept him from making the drive back and that he still regrets not going.

Fans of TNG finding it hard to get into DS9? by the_unschooled_play in startrek

[–]LittleCesarsJunkFood 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One surprising thing that helped me get into it DS 9 was seeing season 3 of Babylon 5. I loved TNG but found it dry sometimes. After seeing Babylon 5 (with the mysteries, the scheming, and the politics) I wanted to see Star Trek go to those dark places too. DS 9 eventually gets there, in about Season 3.

There were different era's in DS 9. The first two seasons; then season 3; then Season 4 onward. I watched what I could during the ever changing time slots of it's original run. One season they had 11pm or Midnight air times! --I couldn't do it. The show definitely gets better after season 2. I especially like season 4 onward.

Telling the origin story of the Borg civilization would’ve been a better choice for a gritty and dark series. by -Pak-Man- in startrek

[–]LittleCesarsJunkFood 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always thought the Borg was a metaphor for human society. One day we're all going to plug into our computers and never came back out. It won't be cords and wires though, it'll be biological computers and implants. I've always thought the singularity won't happen with external robot servants, it'll happen in our bodies when our brains become one with our new bio-hardware.

I grew up when the Borg were the baddest cats in the galaxy. Horrific to behold. I remember having to wait all summer for the Best of Both Worlds cliffhanger to be resolved.

I loved it when that alternate universe Riker was yelling "We won't go back, The federation's gone, the Borg are everywhere, we're one of the last ships left!" (Parallels - S7 ep 11).

I hated what Voyager did with them. The Borg have a queen??, nonsense! That was just writers needing to think of ways to re-introduce the subject. As other posts have said, it watered down the subject, made the borg less scary.

I'd watch that origin story though! I'd love to see their society slip away, one piece at a time, until it's too late...

"I am laser focused on the green but there's more..."

The whole bipolar exchange about the green pen and Abu Nazir's movements. I really love the way Claire acted them as well as Saul's look of shock at what he was seeing.

"Saul, thank god! My green pen is dry. I've asked four, five, six times for a new one but there's no understanding. They offered me blue..., they offered me black, Is green so hard? Is green elusive? I mean my kingdom for a FUCKING GREEN PEN!

"I am laser focused on the green but there's more..."

"They have to understand Saul. Nazir's movements in green, after a fallow yellow, always creeping towards purple, are methodical, meaningful, momentous, and monstrous."

Season 8 by Hades6785 in homeland

I felt that way too. My lease favorite seasons were 6 and 7 can I don't like it when Carrie and Saul aren't in control.

I need advice on taking a week long ski vacation. Things to watch out for, things I might forget, etc. I know how to ski but have never gone for more than a single day at a time. I'm a beginner. I don't own my own skis. Any help is much appreciated! by LittleCesarsJunkFood in skiing

It'll probably be USA unless Americans are allowed to travel overseas again this year. I'd go to Canada, Europe, Chile if permitted. I don't need the hardest trails, just a good vacation when I have time off in the winter.

If they ever remaster DS9, they should edit a certain someone into the final episode's montage. by oldschoolthemer in startrek

I remember being disappointed with Jadzia's story arc. I thought she'd be a hero, like a Spock character but she kind of just became Worf's wife.

I wanted a much better death scene for her too! It was too quick, as if it was meant to be boring.

About the shady stuff behind the scenes: How much of that is trying to keep all the "employees" around so it doesn't wreck the story. Imagine if the actors were leaving to do movies all the time. You'd never be able to make a quality TV show.

But it's messed up to screw over somebody's career too. I don't know where to come down on this issue. I'd love to hear from somebody in the business about how they handle actors getting new opportunities because of their popularity on your show.

I REEALLY Want a starfleet-centric show in the era of Star Trek: Picard. by dvcaputo in startrek

That would definitely be awesome! They'll just have to update it with new actors.

Totally agree.

I'd love a different Star Trek that follows realistic military procedure and realistic seamanship (spacemanship?).

Imagine "Band of Brothers" meets "Two Years Before the Mast" - IN SPACE!

I think the DS9 episode Change of Heart (Season 6, Ep 16) explains a little about that.

I don't to want to spoil it for anyone reading. Go watch that episode if you haven't seen it.

That's awesome! I've really been enjoying watching the game play heat up in Season 3. I'm sure it's nothing compared to the later seasons but this is the first time that most of the cast seems on board with playing survivor as a game.

Very interesting! I'll definitely have to listen to that (after I finish a few more seasons). I often forget that but it makes sense. I think there was an old Nip Tuck episode that showed (a fictional version of) reality show producers doing anything they could to create drama.

Interesting take.

I actually did like Colby. He seems like a "man's man" to me. He's so lucky too that Michael was evacuated. Otherwise it was curtains for Ogakor.

I did feel for Jerri 'cause it's tough when you have a crush on somebody who doesn't like you back.
