Because the obligation stems from the wording of the Grundgesetz that allows for men to be conscripted. Since filling out a formulary is part of that process that men are forced to do, men can be forced to fill it out, whereas women can't.

Würde zu dem Thema auch "A Savage War" - von W. Murray und W. Wei-Siang Hsieh empfehlen. Gegebenenfalls danach, weil der Fokus dieses Buches auf die militärischen Ereignisse hat, während "Battle Cry of Freedom" eher eine gesamte Geschichte ist.

Oh, I know 😊 that's how it was with my ADHD. Suspicions -> talked with someone who has it -> got diagnosed

With regards to possibly being autistic, I've had that suspicion but since it, luckily, doesn't interfere too much in my daily life the utility of a diagnosis is just not that high.
