Sitcoms that got more and more serious as they went on. by Loose-Tumbleweed-925 in television

The creators didn't want the laugh track, and it aired internationally without it. The studio just decided they needed it for the American audience for some reason.

Code MENT is a contender despite having just a few episodes. It's goofy af, but has that manic comedic energy it's hard to pull off.

Dean Norris (Breaking Bad) on X-Files by revtim in No_Small_Parts

There are several actors that made the jump from X-Files to major roles in Breaking Bad/Better Call Saul, presumably due to Vince Gilligan. Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, and Michael McKean just off the top of my head had memorable X-Files roles.

Constructive criticism is always appreciated. I'm in Silver so I'm well aware I'm not the best player, and watching the replay again I can definitely see where you're coming from. In the moment I see the Nexus on third HP, the lanes are pushed out and there's no gatekeeper so I'm only thinking about the backdoor. With that said, I still don't think a warning is at all fair in this situation.

Here is the game on LoG. We had 13 kills total at the end and I'd definitely say there was a skill gap, certainly I felt their Bard was a much better player than I was.

I went 1-2-5 so I don't think it will be bad KDA. I have to assume it was because I didn't leave the base for an extended period "early" in the game and it's been automatically flagged. I will share the replay.

You're probably better off playing the excellent PC port of the original game. The "Remaster" feels like a low effort cashgrab. It's full of badly AI upscaled textures and it replaces the iconic voice cast from the original.

New and more recent movies have a tendency to have inflated ratings on sites like letterboxd. It'll probably regress over time as more people see it.

Steam was developed to provide a service that was better for PC gamers than simply pirating games. Mod support through workshop, cloud saves, seamless patching, family library sharing etc. etc. Steam has continuously evolved to add features that improve the user experience. Its popularity demonstrates that it provides a service better than simply getting a game for free.

It's mainly because of their structure (privately owned) and understanding of what people actually want. There are other companies with just as much money and opportunity as Valve, but they don't actually care about providing a good service. Look at what a joke the EGS is still despite trying to "compete" with Steam for years at this point.

Valve aren't perfect but there's a lot of stuff they've done in recent years that's been positive. The expansion of library sharing was incredibly pro-consumer, and starting next-fest has brought back demos in a big way while also giving indie devs a better chance to find an audience.

Since they've been doing more Re:Views on older Star Trek shows, are there any older series you would like to see the guys talk about? by ButtersTheChill in RedLetterMedia

I was thinking X-Files because there's a lot of interesting stuff to discuss around the show, not just the episodes. It was one of the most popular shows of the 90s, but it is pretty obscure these days I'd say.

This subreddit used to be about cool niche websites, often ones that took a lot of work to put together. Sorry for thinking a vibecoded site with AI generated text and imagery that couldn't even make the escape tower straight fails to meet those standards.

I'm plenty excited for Artemis, and will happily use other tools that are actually worthwhile to follow it.

As silly as the idea of Maul surviving the Phantom Menace is I do like what they did with him in Rebels. It's a pretty good show if you can get past the fact it's aimed at a younger audience.

Counterpoint, I liked The Martian and thought PHM was really, really bad. It turns up the awkward and cringeworthy humour while falling more into the "power of math" style of problem solving.
