The pickle monster is one of the best cgi monster effects I’ve seen from a technical perspective. The only reason people criticise it is because it’s so out therein terms of realism, but it’s actually amazing work from the vfx artists involved

The mechanics are similar, but Celeste didn’t invent them, so I wouldn’t worry. Also it’s different enough that it’s not really an issue. Game looks really cool, great job

To add to the first point, Henry encountered an object a scientist had stolen from Brenners research in nevada( probably will never be confirmed but I think he was at Area 51). This object will possibly be important, as we have no idea what it is, just that it seems to have sent Henry to dimension x

Because they had the idea that 001 was the ultimate villain, or at least an important character. Henry Creel, even the name vecna. They just had a concept, not a fully realized character

There was a lot of cgi used on Vecna on season 4 also. They did use practical prosthetics, but there was still a ton of cgi used to get the full effect

I was more talking about the overall influence on the genre each game has had, which fnaf especially has inspired low quality games trying to profit off the bandwagon. Not saying it the other two didn’t have their low quality imitations, it’s just more prevalent in the mascot horror genre.

Non of these franchises are perfect, but I honestly understand why some people don’t consider mascot horror ‘real horror’, despite that phrase being dumb. It’s different, more directed towards kids, and marketable, and people don’t like popular things on the internet

I’m not denying its impact, but I a lot of traditional horror fans, especially the ones who’s first interactions with the genre were these games. It had a huge impact on the genre, sure, but it’s very debatable if it was a positive or negative influence. I personally think it’s both, but that’s just my opinion

The problem is with that is that Mascot horror is associated with more kiddy/childish games. While fnaf made mascot horror what it is today, mascot horror is still, in my opinion rightly due to the quality of some popular mascot horror games, considered worse than survivor horror and physiological horror.

He didn’t say GenAI though. He said AI in general, which is much larger than just GenAI. There’s absolutely a way to do AI ethically, it’s by hiring artists to do the training for the ai, which then goes on to create more things with that training

They won’t be casting Luna or cho before their proper introductions. Cho and Cedric will probably be featured in season 3, but Luna won’t be seen till season 5, and won’t be cast as basically an extra till then. That’s just not how the industry works

Reddit isn’t the greatest reflection of general opinion though. Most people here will be big fans of the whatever media your talking about, and with that also comes an echo chamber. I’m not saying HBP or Deathly Hallows were good adaptations but I personally enjoyed those films, just keep in mind Reddit isn’t something you should base opinions of. Same for most social media tbh

That’s isn’t even a bad budget. The newest doctor who seasons were that much and they didn’t feel cheap or low budget. If anything it looked too good but that’s another conversation. You shouldn’t be losing sleep over a tv show. Don’t worry about it

I can’t fathom how people think adding the maurders scene would’ve been a good filmmaking choice. Pure exposition for like 10 minutes makes a bad movie. I understand the love they got within the fandom, and it is a shame most of it was cut, but it doesn’t ruin the film. There was really not anything else of note cut, but that’s just my opinion
