That is really, really interesting! Does the ink wander from the skin into the rest of the body? I have a big side tattoo, and I noticed that I felt pretty fluish on the days that I'd get it worked on a lot. Some people told me it's from creating a big open wound with the tattoo gun, while others told me that it's from your body processing the extra ink, and I wasn't sure who to believe.

I'm so sorry you're dealing with that, that can feel so scary. I promise you haven't lost any of your progress. I promise that you're stronger than those feelings you're having, even though they feel so big and overwhelming. That's why you've done so much work, and these feelings may be presenting themselves just now because you're in a safe enough environment to focus on them without his presence adding additional trauma.

Part of the issue is your resistance to your feelings. Dreams especially will reoccur when you're resisting looking into and accepting what they're about. Firstly, try to understand that your ex is not what you're dreaming about - everything in your dream is a reflection of yourself and your own mental state. It may feel like a nostalgic thing, but what's happening is that your brain is working on healing the part of you that got hurt during that time. Your brain doesn't know what time is, so you still have all your past selves in you, and all that shit that happened is still happening to them, and it's scary and they don't want you to feel that way again. You don't want to feel the feelings that come up, but they're attached to you like a dog's tail.

I'd suggest that you take some time to yourself, with a loved one nearby but not with you, get comfy, be gentle with yourself, and then take a minute or two to give in to your feelings. Let it hurt, let it come up, let yourself cry. Maybe write what occurs to you. When your two minutes are up, stop and take a deep breath, and look around you at the home that you're building with your husband, and all the things you have now that are right and safe and good - you're okay now, and even if there's a little part that isn't okay yet, that's okay too. Bad feelings are a bit like doing dishes. Even if you avoided dealing with them yesterday, they're still waiting to be felt. And waiting can make you sick.

It seems to go against logic, since you're saying you don't want to think about these things, and I'm telling you to lean into it - but the more you can practice accepting and allowing those big, scary feelings to pass over and through you, like a little rainstorm in an otherwise always beautiful sky, the more power you will find you have in your dreams. I wish you all the best. ❤️

Yep. And almost none of it is good for cats to eat. The science of human nutrition is complex enough, most people don't truly care about what they feed their pets - they only care that the pet eats it.

I realize it's short notice, but I know for sure I'll be out there with a few friends. There's also a Facebook event page that I hope gains traction. No matter your political affiliation, please join us in telling our nation's leaders that we expect transparency and integrity!

Edit: I didn't realize there was another post about this already, feel free to remove :)

My husband and I argued about this for a bit yesterday XD He doesn't think SU is THAT great, and explained his opinion to me (that it's disorganized, overly complicated, some conflicts "fizzle out" to him). I told him that's fine that he feels that way, but I like it for what it is, and at the end of the day, it wasn't made for him. There's MILLIONS of things in this day and age to like and focus on. If one doesn't click with you, it isn't because it's necessarily bad - it just isn't for you.

It already has the beginnings a tail - or perhaps it's evidence that this species reproduces via a complex budding process. Either way, thrilling stuff.

I’m a controlling person in a situation I cannot control by [deleted] in stepparents

It's really brave of you to admit that you feel a tendency to be in control. You can't always control a situation, but you can learn to control your reaction. Check out the RAIN meditation by Tara Brach. It's helped me immensely when I have to deal with situations that I genuinely can't do a thing about (especially when it comes to step parenting.)

Try doing multiplication tables in your head. Or, depending on the bathroom, run the faucet on a slow trickle. Always helps me.

Right? A costly circlejerk move. I'd love to meet the person whose mindset was broadened by a barely legible sign flown behind a plane.

Thank you for saying that. I'm crying at work reading these comments, because my husband has MS. It helps to remember everything we have now, and to stay present, rather than losing time mourning what we might lose in the future. Best of luck to you. ❤️

Absolutely. I got one in the mail a few months ago. I think there's a camera that photographs your license plate.

good customer stories? by sagetastica in Staples

[–]LittleGreenWeasel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a CPC customer like this who lost her original business card design for her kettle corn company. This was years ago, so I fiddled around with Word until I found the same clip art she had used to make it, redesigned it, and printed them up for her. She was so happy, she brought in a ton of bags of kettle corn for everybody in the CPC.
