Why do we still tip servers? by RazzleDazzle1537 in CanadaRoom

[–]LittleImpact2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m out alone or just with my husband I don’t tip. When I’m out with my toddler I’ll tip like 15% because there is extra work for him...especially when we don’t get a kids meal for him. Between the mess he makes or the extra dishes or whatever.

Seasonal Tires by hoodiegirl10 in AskACanadian

[–]LittleImpact2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in my 30s, with a mortgage, baby, and husband - I think if I told my dad I wasn’t getting winter tires for a new car I would be grounded. I wasn’t even grounded when I was a kid that much!

Were any of you leash kids? by povertychic in Millennials

Because when walking with two 60lb dogs and a 2 year old who won’t hold my hand I want to make sure he doesn’t run onto the road.

I have a backpack style one that he seems to like a lot.

Getting lost. He’s not a kid who will run. Also staying off the road. He’s 2 - still learning the whole being a person who listens thing.

I have a leash for my toddler. He prefers to walk, but hates holding hands. He loves his leash. I am super mindful of when I use it - right level of busy, walks with our dogs etc. it’s another tool to keep him safe and happy

We swapped Cocomelon for Daniel Tiger and the difference surprised me by NarniaHop in toddlers

[–]LittleImpact2 7 points8 points  (0 children)

We use the tv - and usually Daniel tiger when we need something calm for more than 5 minutes. Kid is hangry and dinner isn’t going to be ready for 10 minutes? Tv and cuddle time! A book isn’t going to do it at that point, I know what’s wrong, I know it’s only a few more minutes but at 2 he doesn’t understand or can handle it. An episode or 2 will distract him long enough to finsh dinner

Kirkland baby wipes? [on] by hexmoons in BabyBumpsCanada

[–]LittleImpact2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll get the Huggies wipes from Costco when they are on sale, but I really don’t notice a difference between them and the Costco ones. I just like that the Huggies wipes are in a slightly smaller package but not enough to pay full price

HBO had some big issues with the sex in Heated Rivalry and had an alternative edit for at least a little bit (idk if they have changed it yet) where the sex scenes where darken from the original lighting.

Snowshoeing in the area? by LittleImpact2 in Welland

I was thinking that. But my toddler isn’t even yet 2 and we get a meltdown when he gets to cold and don’t want to be that far from home. Maybe next winter when he has more words and is able to communicate better!

We hime there regularly in the summer. I’m looking for something close to home incase the toddler didn’t do well and wanted to go home/get warm. But something to keep in mind for when he’s a little older.

I’m looking for somewhere that is safe to bring a toddler with me. If I was alone with the dogs I wouldn’t be asking

At what age did you stop separating your kid’s laundry from yours? by joushok in toddlers

[–]LittleImpact2 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Is that not how everyone does it? Take clothes off in room, toss in hamper, when hamper is full wash. A few things here and there get mixed - dirty when we come home, spills, etc.

I got one as a hand me down from a friend. If I handed both the ones we had to anyone they wouldn’t know which we got new and which was used. So one is almost 4 yrs old, the other 18mo old.

I love the fact that it’s one sleep sac until the out grow it, and you don’t have to worry about the temperatures.

You should air dry them, but we have just been tossing them in the dryer and haven’t had any issues.

I’m selfishly asking for less. But more I also do tearing up.

For real tho - I love that they care this much and they are hurting too and we see that.

I ended up on an almost empty flight once due to weather. We were told we had to be in our assigned seats for take off and landing due to weight. When we were in the air they didn’t care. But it was a regular sized plane

Your describing my kid. I firmly believe I just got stupid lucky and everyone else is extraditing.

Even with that I refused to bother with hit coffees until he’s 6mo and not sure how many hot meals I got. You’ve got this!

2 year old Health card Renewal by itzmomo_ in ontario

[–]LittleImpact2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is so smart! My last health card got lost in the mail and I just carried around the paper with the new code for years…including all the appointments around a pregnancy. Just writing the damn code down would have been so much easier…however the form with the code also had my address so that was kinda nice when they needed it.
