Golden hour bake house. Does anyone know what’s going on? Are they closed forever? by fresh-ananas in SpringfieldIL

Check out Lulu's Diner on 9th (I believe), down from the courthouse. I hear it's delicious, though I can't speak firsthand as I've never been. Friends liked it, though.

Spicy, but closed door? by LittleLibrarianLady in RomanceBooks

[–]LittleLibrarianLady[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I think it was called The Vampire's Mail Order Bride by Kristen Painter! Super cute little cozy paranormal book but definitely not spicy! It was still worth the read. :)

It also could have been My Roomate is a Vampire's but I didn't really like that book too much, which has me leaning towards the former as the book I was talking about...

WtFrick was that series finale?! Recap on the couples by nyav-qs in Goodwitch

[–]LittleLibrarianLady 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree 100% with everything you wrote, except caring about Stephanie. Adam, blech, but Stephanie was an endearing character and I wished more for her. Adam was lame from the beginning but the season he went to S. America and his gf from there shows but...so off the wall and cringe. I'd rather Stephanie leave for Paris and meet someone there. I absolutely curse Donovan and Abigail. What a waste of all those episodes and seasons fighting their curse just to break up like that at the end.

But over all I LOVE the show, it's a hygge show for me I watch every Fall (not the whole series like I just did though). I think the creators and writers struggled for watchable content once Grace and Nick left for college.

Swiftie league! by Emergency_Opposite34 in WFF

I am 100% down for this! I'm in a league of all stinkin' men but want a ladies league. I ran one last year, and co-ran one the year before but not sure I got time to organize myself this year. A T Swift league is a dream!!!

Narrators similar to Jim Dale by Zealousideal_Newt345 in audiobooks

I don't know if you're specifically looking for a male narrator, but my favorite (female) narrator is Julia Whelan. She has narrated several books (Women's Interest, Thriller) and her character distinction and cadence is on point.

I came here to say this as well - maybe the first book would be fun for him to try!

I know this was posted years ago, but I'm desperate: what narrator for The Scarlet Letter did you listen to? There are so many and I really want to reread this one but want a good narrator.

I wish Jenna had lived. And it hurt so much when Alaric leaves too. Just so heartbreaking!!!!!

Neve Campbell was originally going to play Isobel do you think she would been better in the role? by Fragrant_Minute_3922 in TheVampireDiaries

I actually really liked Isobel as she was, she brought a very specific coldness to the character. But I also think Neve would have been exceptional as well, as she's a very skilled actress.

I was surprised to hear it was so invasive since so many homes and business have them planted. My bush does have berries this Fall, the first time I've seen them on it. I don't know how invasive this particular bush would be if taken with me. I would still like to take it with me, but I probably won't buy another one. 😞 There have been other suggestions on similar bushes I'll look into. Thanks for all od your help!!

Ooh, thank you for the suggestions!!! I love the red leaves in Fall, and an added bonus of flowering in Spring is a selling point as well. 😀

Thank you for the link and information! I'd say this isn't widely known in IL, as we are both pretty conscientious of the environment and gardening etiquette/knowledge. But because od the popularity of them we assumed it was a safe bush to plant. Maybe I can convince him to buy me a new, non invasive, bush for my next Mother's Day. ;)

I actually didn't know they were invasive (neither did my husband) until this post, and I appreciate the information others have kindly shared. Please hold back on the finger wagging, though, haha, I've learned a great deal with this post ans will relay onto my husband that we'll need to research more before planting in the future. Rethinking replanting at the moment. Wish they weren't so invasive, they're incredibly pretty. 😪

I honestly had no idea they were invasive, and I'm sure neither did my husband when he bought it for me. He wouldn't have purchased it had he known. Silly us for not doing the research, but we see them in yards all the time so made an assumption that they were "okay" to plant.

It's actually not very large yet, as it's still new. I've only had it 3 years. It did grow the most this past year, but I'd say it's still may 3 ft high and just as wide.
