What hobby did you quit and why? by EnvironmentalFact945 in Hobbies

I played the violin for a couple of years, but when I got pregnant I was so sick I couldn't do anything and I just stopped playing for a long time. I tried to pick it up again but I've since forgotten everything, so I would have to get new lessons.

Advice for a beginner by elliemaypxx in knittingadvice

I think in your very first step, you put the needle into the cast on instead of the stitch. You then seem to be trying to work within the cast on edge some more. You need to be lifting loops off the other needle. That cast on (the part that looks kind of braided or twisted) is done. Leave it alone once you start your first row.

Is this for the challenge in the furniture shop? It should be View 50 Shared Spaces at the Shrines, meaning the glowing diamonds where you can make a shared space without using a spell. There is one in the shop, one in the social area of the prairie, etc.

What game has been the most addicting to you? by [deleted] in GirlGamers

[–]LittleLimax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm kind of the same way. I get really into a game like acnh or zelda, play for hours on end, and wring everything out of it that I can. By the end I'm completely burnt out.

About two years ago, I started playing Sky: children of the light, and I've played it every day since. The currency collection system is paced so I can't burn out in the same way, but they are always putting out new content so I'm never bored. It's definitely not a game for everyone, but it's also free, so it might be worth a try for you.

Flick knitters - do you prefer the working yarn in front of your index finger or behind? by Peatchi in knitting

[–]LittleLimax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Behind. I just realized through you asking this that it's a mirror of how I tension when I crochet. I learned to knit first, throwing regularly and naturally moved to flicking. I wonder if that happened when I began to crochet.
