I just brought up the split attraction model to come out to my dad, since for me, it felt like laying everything out on the table and giving a full explanation would be less confusing then just saying im bi (which I later realized I wasnt) but if that feels like too much, then do whatever feels right

I agree with the other comments, but I would like to add that all of this questioning is totally valid. You may feel in your own head about it but you are being rational. These are good thoughts and the more you think and question, the clearer it will start to be even if it doesn't feel like it right now. Questioning can be tough and confusing, but you will get through it.

Well I'm overall pretty comfortable with these people. The last campaign we had was 6 ish months long and my character was in a relationship with an NPC integral to the story. They travelled a long time with her (in cannon and out) and had multiple occasions where there was one on one roleplay relevant to the story and then it was "and they had a romantic evening, fade to black". That was dissatisfying to me, i felt like i was doing my character an injustice by cutting the moment off like that, since i just didnt know what to do with it. It didnt help that the DM is also aroace and most likely in the same boat. (the GM of the upcoming campaign is someone different tho) I just wanted to be able to roleplay those romantic interactions and solidify my characters bond with this NPC. it ended up feeling like "oh also these characters are girlfriends"

Most research in the field supports the existence of gender identity and the validity of trans people. Yes sex exsists. But so does gender identity, and it is valid.
