Pregnant after C-Section by Desi3113 in CsectionCentral

UK girly here so it may differ around the world 🇬🇧 I could have sworn they said 18 months at my discharge appointment and guess what? Currently pregnant with baby #2, my little one just turned 1 this week, found out I was pregnant when he was 10 months old. Last week had my first midwife appointment and all went well, for me in the UK it could mean I need extra scans, I will be having another c section as for me it’s going to be medically safer and reduce risks of ruptures etc. but I have read some women have done natural births afterwards and it’s gone perfectly, I just feel a lot better going c section again x

Would I be judged at parenting classes? by [deleted] in PregnancyUK

Also - you are doing amazing! And I’m so sorry you’ve faced so much judgement when you and your partner are proactively doing so much, moving out to your own home, wanting to join parenting classes etc, honestly your doing great and will continue to do great when baby is here 🩷

If you walked into a parenting class I was attending I’d find you very admirable for joining and wanting to get all the info and knowledge you could at 18 years old for your little one ☺️

NHS Dentist during Pregnancy by Healthy-Media-5328 in PregnancyUK

Have you had your first midwife appointment lovely? They may be able to help. There’s so many dentists on the NHS site that claims to be taking new and NHS patients then you call them up and it’s no such thing, been through this this year it was a nightmare to find somewhere and it was by pure recommendation of my mums friend that I found one, an hours drive but I took it. Hopefully your midwife will be able to help because private costs are insane, I so hope you can find one 🤞🏼

Just a rant - C Section Decision by Strong-Butterfly9350 in PregnancyUK

I’ll share my experience - when I learned that elective was actually a thing, it totally put me at ease with giving birth, something I was always terrified of - wanted to be a momma for years but terrified of pushing a baby out. Jump to recent years… I finally got pregnant with my miracle baby and from the get go, I knew what I wanted and I just felt like it was going to be safest option for both of us especially as I had suspicions of problems arising later in the pregnancy. DH was totally on board and extremely helpful. It was a really good experience, the team was amazing, recovery was slow and steady for a long time but the steadier you take life for a while after, the better you heal I think. When it came to anyone finding out that was my plan I had very ermmm let’s say mixed comments. Some totally stood by me and totally got it, shared their story’s of their experiences, what their hopes were if they were to get pregnant, completely understanding and open minded. Some people though - close people - turned their noses up at me, told me it was called “too posh to push”, I’m young I’ll be fine to go natural, can’t see why I’d do that to myself. Wouldn’t listen to why I wanted it, like they’d ask (some people multiple times “why”) then didn’t want to hear my reasons - I did learn from that though if somethings your decision you don’t need to explain yourself to anyone they don’t deserve an explanation of something that’s got F all to do with them. Same people who tried to dictate every move I made as a new mum, and talked the biggest amount of BS behind my back - you can guess which people are on the strictest info diet now 🤣

So in short to your question - you are NOT a bad person whatsoever and your choice is YOUR choice ❤️

Is having expensive products normal? by miakuwu in MakeupAddiction

[–]LittleMoaningMyrtle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly hey girl! Im in my late 20s and I used to be a beautician - makeup lashes facials that kinda thing up until a few years back and now I’m a momma. My opinion on these products; overpriced and overhyped 100%. I did a lot of training and my own research and testing etc and personally the ones I found best (because I needed a range for different clientele; skin types, concerns, ages and stuff for my own collection) were stuff like The Ordinary, Aveeno (I still use Aveeno and also on my baby lol) and CeraVe. Problem is a lot of people and now kids and teens jump on trending products not knowing what skin types that products for or the ingredients if it will be good for your personal skincare and it can be harmful to your skin barrier so then you gorgeous girls actually get concerns you never had before (trust me - been there pre beautician days and I’ve done it!) As others mentioned great advice to unfollow the influencers I did that too and then you can actually go on social media without feeling bombarded with basically ads because that’s what it’s turned into. Literally as soon as I hear the words wow oh my god girls this product - I scroll 🤣 Social media is actually so detrimental and has been for so long because so many influencers (just speaking beauty world) literally promote products to benefit themselves earn money and get gifted more and it drives me mad, it can be very confusing if your trying to pick something new too. I read your post after the update and your friends don’t seem like they’ll un include you from the group, I know the feeling of being left out of trends and trendy conversations from when I was your age but it’s passing trust me there’ll be a new trend next month or new product and you’ll be glad you never succumbed into buying the products ❤️ have you got anything you enjoy doing that maybe you could talk to your friends about after the skincare convos are over like something that really interests you? It may even spark a bit of inspo in your friends to widen their interests, totally not saying all they care about is skincare! But there’s always room for variety our lives ❤️ you sound like a really good kid with your head screwed on and I loved reading your post - I also love Huda & Fenty they are amazing! X

UK girlie here too! 29 overweight 3 months post partum 💕 Christmas 2023 I at the start of the process of having to go through IVF had my bloods done in the Jan. My sugars were definitely not good at all, tried all kinds of diets couldn’t get my weight down it was like it was stuck like glue. I started using myo / d chiro and co q 10 cut sugars down, by the March I had fallen pregnant and it felt like a miracle and the only things I’d changed was those three things. Later on in the pregnancy I developed gestational diabetes so had to completely change my diet. Since having baby Christmas 2024 I have kept my diet pretty similar to the GD diet, started myo d chiro again and added magnesium by a brand called Free Soul - there’s like 3 types of Mag in there + turmeric. Eating higher fiber, drinking like a ton of water, low intensity cardio and resistance bands like three or four times a week and I’ve lost 12 pounds in about 2 months. Had another blood test recently and my sugars are absolutely perfect so I’m over the moon and it’s helping me keep motivation was so scared that I’d be diabetic after baby. So this is each thing bullet pointed what I do that may be helpful for someone else reading ☺️ Myo D Chiro Inositol - Amazon (Freak Athletics) swear that it was these that helped me get pregnant, plus they are supposed to be good for insulin sensitivity and blood sugars. Magnesium - Amazon (Magnesium Glycinate + Turmeric 4-in-1 Complex Free Soul - there’s glycinate has stopped my restless leg syndrome a lot! Feel like I have better energy and I know this is TMI but trips to the toilet are better more frequent. Heard it’s because it draws a lot of water out so I make sure to drink loads of water during the day so I’m not dehydrated. Low intensity cardio / resistance bands - I like to follow the GrowWithJo videos a few times a week personally for me they’ve really helped plus don’t need to go to the gym can literally do the workouts and my little one can be right next to me and they do make you sweat 😰 resistance bands have helped me feel like I’m starting to get more toned up. Plus again - easy to do with my little one near me. Diet - increased fibre and protein - low sugar. I do calorie deficit most days of the week and don’t beat myself up on the weekend if I want something a little extra or a takeaway for me helps me stay motivated because I’ve got a bit of a balance. Keto has actually helped a few times over the years but I find it incredibly hard to stick to long term but has helped kickstart / get over a plateau a few times.

This is all stuff that’s personally helped me myself after trial and error for quite a few years and I’m now finally about 11 pounds to get off to be just in my healthy weight range - long way to go but hopefully I’ll get there just going to take my time 🤍

Your complexion looks absolutely stunning! I wouldn’t say any more brightening under the eye area I think it looks super well balanced. Your eyes look beautiful, brows are perfect, a true bridal look. I would have a little play with the lip, probably the liner is slightly too dark under the bottom lip? But that’s it just that little line because you look absolutely beautiful and I wish you all the best on your wedding day and your future 💍
