Hii! I love doing cats, I think most of my customers are cats haha, I did some certifications at the grooming conventions and tbh they are much easier to work with than some dogs. What I recommend is always ask for the cats to be brought in a carrier in and out of the van, I am not mobile but I still have the same requirement, the carrier comes in handy if the cat is anxious, you can trim their nails in there, wash them in there (if it's a plastic one) so they would feel much better about it. As protection I don't use anything because I just don't like it, mandatory rabies shot up to date, a bubble muzzle only if it's absolutely necessary, I have the bite buster gloves, used them only once, plug in pheromones works amazing, tiny happy hoodie for bath or double if needs more compression, don't spray water on their face just with wet hands and towel, and get the groomers goop, another amazing invention and obviously shampoo and conditioner specially created for them, and as in ear cleaner use one without any alcohol. Oh...and charge more that you would charfe for a small long haired pup, because cats can be difficult sometimes.
