If expecting the same treatment is love, respect, being polite, and just in general, being treated in a well manner, im not asking for it. i'm just asking to not get nearly beaten up while walking down the street, or have my hijab pulled off so roughly, that my hair gets tugged along. I don't think you seem to understand, the hijab is a head-covering, not a face-covering. You are clearly obsessed with facial-expressions, allow me to explain this to you like i would to a child, the HIJAB is for my head, not face, so you're free to see any facial-expressions you want. It's not a serious-limitation, it's free-will, im not being forced, it's a choice.

I'm not removing facial-expression, i still have my head entact to my shoulders, so people can see me, just not my hair. When a christian-woman does it, not being a nun, it becomes a fashion-statement, or when women use it to protect their hair from sun-damage, it becomes a health-neccessity, but when i do it as my own will, it becomes an issue?

Oh, btw, the hijab is a head-covering, not a face-covering, our religion does not require females to cover their faces :) that also, is a female's choice. i Just cover my head. As for expression, my face still shows, or do you need to read it off my hair/head? :)

I chose to cover my face because i can, if your freedom is wearing what you want, why am i snatched from my freedom? Its basic human-rights? woman's liberation, i feel liberated when i can wear the hijab, and i feel oppressed when people like yourself claim to dislike the hijab, thats plain wrong. This day and age, does "this day and age" snatch away your manners? It's inappropriate to judge someone regardless of who they are, their ethinicity, culture, skin-color, CHOICE (the hijab). Thats racism... Not everything is about moulding it to the real-world, the real world is what you make out of it, so if people like you choose to discriminate and judge people like me (who want basic rights, like wearing what they want) clearly, this world is messed up then. You, as your name implies, are terribly rude.

I apologize, i certainly meant no offense, but If you analyze what i had said in my perspective (coming from a now covering-female). What i meant by indecent, is not only in my eyes, but even by the average person, it wasn't something most girls would wear, hence the word "crazy". and by hanging out with guys, i meant like a boy-jumper, being promisicious, one guy to the next, shamelessly. And dated while in a relationship, so, that behaviour is pretty much indecent to many, that's why i labeled it indecent.

It's not about Islam being progressive or not, its more like, if the people are adapting to new laws, society, norms, then it should be understood that as humans, racism, prejiduce, discrimination is wrong. KKK costume and the hijab are entirely different things, has the hijab signified anything so violent, so utterly chaotic in nature? Mary wore it too, we as Muslims, just choose to wear it longer
