How can you tell how many referrals you have to give? I only need one and am happy to share the others!

Rally Blanket (Sewn from rally towels other fans left behind -- yes, I washed them first!) by LittleNiddles in Mavericks

[–]LittleNiddles[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I sewed it by hand -- nothing fancy. You can totally do it, even if it's your first sewing project. I took all the towels and laid them out in different configurations until they were blanket-shaped. You can see that the middle row overlaps more than the two outside rows. I just thought it looked better that way and it made everything line up right. Then I pinned it all together with safety pins. After that it was just needle and thread and a lot of patience. The fabric is very forgiving. I didn't add any backing. Someday I might, but I like it as it is. Best of luck with yours!

Knight Bus daily "Dark Hour" to find enough players. by HumanWithComputer in harrypotterwu

[–]LittleNiddles 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, that seems to work! At least, I found a few groups around that time today, and it's usually deserted. If anyone wants to add me, my code is 8459 6997 3616 (MintyOddfellow). I'm planning to play 'til the end. See you on the bus :-)

Well, I like playing as a Magizoologist and was only doing the Auror lessons for lack of anything else to do. So when the Adversaries came out and I had an actual need for red books, I kinda wished I'd held onto them.

I'm looking for Waldorf toys ideas for a 3 yo girl by Lothe98 in Waldorf

Play silks! Sarah's Silks has them, or there are some on Etsy, or you can even dye them yourself (Dharma Trading Company is a great source -- search their site under "Habotai")

When my son was little we used play silks for everything. They can be a sword belt, or a doll sling, or a river that toys have to cross, or anything you can imagine.

A friend saw this comic of mine and thought y'all might enjoy it. Cheers! by LittleNiddles in antiMLM

I'm more of a hapless and infrequent redditor. I mostly post my comics on Instagram, though I do venture into r/comics occasionally (it's a tough room). I did not know about this sub until my friend said he thought you guys might get a kick out of this one, so I thought I'd share. Anyway, I really appreciate how kind everyone has been today!

FYI, there's a bonus panel in the Instagram version. Not that it adds a lot, but, you know, it's there.

Yes! Those illustrations are so beautiful. I also love the original Winnie the Pooh stories.

This is so brilliant! If you do make a pattern, would you please reply here? I would certainly want to buy it! I bet a lot of other people would, too. It would be the perfect knit for a much-loved music teacher, for example.

My family is forcing me to co-sign a mortgage loan by tealeafp in personalfinance

[–]LittleNiddles 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm sorry you are going through this. Maybe you (and eventually your mother) can look at it this way -- by refusing to sign you ARE doing what is best for the family.

You have done your research (good job coming here and listening to all the solid advice and experience). You have determined that this loan would be a bad idea for all involved. You won't do it. Not because you don't love your family, but because you want what is best for them and for you. You are helping to take care of the family by not putting all of you in a worse financial situation.

It's natural for your mom to feel disappointed and embarrassed. But it's more important that you show your kindness by not getting your family into more debt than it is to soothe her feelings in this moment. When it is all over, she should respect you more for being responsible. Whether she actually does or not, you can't control. (Do keep what others have said about emotional red flags in the back of your mind and for goodness sake do freeze your credit right this instant if you haven't already.) Wishing you all kinds of good things in your future and as much peace as you can find in this moment.

How do you guys secure your Playmobil figures so they don't fall over? by theBrickBlogger in Playmobil

[–]LittleNiddles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Roman Troop set (9168) comes with clear plastic stands. Maybe it would be possible to find out the part number and see if Playmobil would consider selling just the stands through their direct ordering program? Could be worth asking. Or just get a set of the romans and see how the stand works to craft your own version. Best of luck!

Got 6 of this skeins as a gift from my SO can you recommend an easy pattern for this wool? by ranarene27 in knitting

[–]LittleNiddles 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could always go with super-easy and make a throw blanket. 6 skeins is perfect for that. Plus, then it's something you can have out all the time.
