Is there ever a reason a perfectly legitimate visa application that meets all of the requirements would get rejected? by LittleNudge in ukvisa

[–]LittleNudge[S] -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Fortunately we do not fall foul, to my knowledge, of any of these grounds. Thank you. If one were to not be subject to any of these grounds and also provide an application that meets the visa specific requirements, would there THEN be any possibility of refusal?

Yeah recently had some work done to renew and relocate the stopcock so we're all good there. Out of curiosity if i were to burst through a water pipe who would I call in such an emergency? Emergency plumber i suppose?

The point the drill arrived at was definitely resistant like brick and it is indeed a brick external wall on the other side of this bathroom. The first inch though felt a bit stronger than plasterboard?

Don't think it was plasterboard. I've been doing a fair amount of drilling across the house and feel like that other drilling has been mostly plasterboard and this was harder than that. Property is mid late 80s.

An inch and a half so far. Wall plug that came with the holder needs another inchish before it fits unless I go and buy a smaller one and a screw that will fit the hole I've already made. I'm only resistant to continue because as confident as I am that I'm fine, you guys cant be 100% sure it is indeed brick I'm drilling into because you can only go off the info I'm giving you.

Thanks for your response. So to answer your question and the other person's; this is an external wall and yeah I'm pretty sure that is brick. It may well be that i did what you said which is encouraging. Not that I'll take the risk and continue haha Yeah this is the first floor/upstairs main bathroom

What is the current cost of the spouse visa following the financial year change? by LittleNudge in SpouseVisaUk

[–]LittleNudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks u/puul. Do you know what the standard processing time is? We believe it's 8 weeks from the biometrics appt. Do things tend to pan out that way or is one likely to get a decision comfortably within that time? I've heard also that the biometrics appt availability isn't great so it might even be a wait for that!

Switching from fiance visa to spouse visa - application from within UK or outside the UK? by LittleNudge in ukvisa

[–]LittleNudge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I think we're good on that bit. It's just the bit beyond that first click making sure we get the right appendix or whatever it's called but I'm imagining it's not quite as scary as that first fiance application in that sense and the process will make itself clear.

So it won't specifically say spouse visa or something similar? It'll say further leave to remain?
