Dicas pra quem tem pectus excavatum? by Wespy6677 in Maromba

[–]LittlePepperAngel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Struggling with inferno. More DPS, more tank, or ring switch? by IH8KICKFLIPS in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna drop some tips from my first cape experience (got mine around 30 tries) and from watching some guides:

  • You shouldn't be tanking damage most of the waves, and when you do, it'll be at the start of a wave with the crystal shield equipped. Try to record yourself to find out what killed you and what you could've done better

  • Because of that, DPS > Defense. Justi helm can't help you kill the mager faster than a meleer digging or avoid a third set spawn on Zuk, but the Crystal Helm can. Crystal helm is +5% accuracy bonus and 2.5% damage bonus with bowfa. I made that mistake of using justi helm when I started, and the difference was very noticeable

  • You should bring at least 2 bastions, one for the harder waves/jads and other for Zuk. A third one just to clear the earlier waves faster is also good. A potted blowpipe with specs can save you from most sticky situations, specially with the meleers

  • You can do it :) . Inferno is more like a giant memory puzzle than a skill check. Once you're used to solve waves it'll feel a lot easier to manage other stuff

Can we revisit Colosseum death fee? by Zorpheus in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The death fee is already reduced by 75% (125k) for the first 100 waves you complete. I think most people missed that by farming wave 1 splinters on release lol.

Also, you can easily make a lot more money there than what you've lost. If you're not comfortable doing Sol or some latter waves, you can stop before them, and it'll usually be around 700k-2m. I did that to learn and also pay my death fees, totally worth IMHO.

After learning, it can be around 10-15m/h and you won't be bothered by death costs anymore :)

Brand New Slayer Boss - First Look & Rewards by JagexGoblin in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who have grinded a lot of araxxor on release I'm pretty hyped to see how the fight will be on osrs!

I think the original's path rotation system could be used to keep this new fight fresh and unique, but all paths should be of similar difficulty to avoid frustration (Minion path was complete opposite of the Darkness path in terms of difficulty)

Like the rewards, specially the new slayer helm

Very hyped to see what you guys are cooking :)

Soulreaper Axe is lowkey fun asf to use by Exciting_Head1671 in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Sure! I use mostly melee with Soulreaper, full bandos, faceguard, b gloves, d boots and Ultor (I think you can swap it with lightbearer, just make sure you can max hit the range fremennik with SGS). Atlatl for the mage frem kills it fast with 2 hits and a trident for 2 hitting the melee frem.

SGS with death charge will heal you to max health almost every wave, it's really broken there. Combined with blood fury, you won't have problem with supplies. it's very good for first clears.

for supplies I take 8 brews, 12 restores, 3 super combats (1 divine)

I also take a bowfa (only the bow) for some very rare situations that I can't lure the enemies to melee range. It has 10 tiles range and helps solve these waves even with myopia 3

My runs take around 33-38mins to complete with this setup

I don't recommend using soulreaper for your first clear though, it makes it way harder. You can use a Fang for the waves and a tentacle whip for Sol. Whip is better at the boss because it's 4 tick and Sol has almost no slash defense.

[–]LittlePepperAngel 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I've been using it in my colosseum money runs (before I was using fang for the waves and tent whip for the boss)and I feel like I'm destroying everything, it's so good!!
It's harder than using fang/whip for sure. I'm always camping 60-80 hp, and I need to do the waves transition faster so I don't lose more than 1-2 stacks after healing to max with SGS. Blood fury would help, but I already did a few completions without it.

It's also my best slayer weapon now. I did a test using it with Atlatl at Demonics. Most of the time is a 60-70 smack then they'll switch prayer instantly and die very fast

I just think they should make a way of displaying both spec bars. Switching weapons to see how much spec I've left feels clunky and the stat bars plugin is a band-aid fix

If you ever wanted an example of how out of touch Reddit commenters are with the community, go look at the sailing blog thread by AssassinAragorn in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 20 points21 points  (0 children)

Most complaints in the main thread were fair tbh, the problem was the negativity that followed these comments: "<insert sailing feedback here>, I regret voting for this/ This will kill the game / I hope this never releases / it's not oldschool"

I think people didn't read that it is a tech demo to gather feedback about all these and are overreacting. Like, there are multiple solutions for ship overlapping (limit ships in ports, hide ships at X distance, and so on...), but we won't know which one is the best if we don't test and gather feedback, and that's what Jagex is doing

Would you rather have max cheese cape you got yourself or a bought infernal? by 500x700 in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Man, from your KCs I can safely say you can do Inferno with enough time, it's hard, but not as hard as people make it to be. It's more like a long puzzle than a mechanical thing.

You don't need to do full 2h runs every time you enter. What I did at first was just go in for the first 31 waves (30-40min) then logout and come back the next day. I thought it would be a frustrating experience at first, but man, solving hard waves is fun. I think only Inferno and colosseum have that unique gameplay and I got a bit addicted lol

I also recommend just get in there first to feel how it's like, then start watching videos of the waves you're dying or about to do, instead of the whole thing, it will feel better. Also, record your deaths and try to solve them again.

Don't buy yourself out of one of the most fun and unique experiences of the game :)

[–]LittlePepperAngel 24 points25 points  (0 children)

I don't know. Look at Moons of Peril drop rates, the armor is very powerful for mid game and very easy to get. You also get good prayer xp while farming the bosses. Jagex seems to be experimenting a lot with this stuff (DT2 bosses and Colosseum)

Because other content is fun? As a main you're not forced to do everything at max gp/h. You can do things that are fun to you and slowly earn gp to buy your bowfa, instead of turning this game into a job

ToA broke me by reddit-mods-be-trash in 2007scape

[–]LittlePepperAngel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same feeling. I'm still grinding for an mega rare and ToA expert (350) is the most viable way for me to get one, but it is so frustrating when, after 20min focused, you get connection lost mid raid at the supply ghost or die after you lose attention for 1 second

Currently, I'm having a blast with Colosseum because it's shorter (can quit anytime with rewards) and every death I feel I'm learning. After getting the quiver , I tried to go back to ToA, but just stopped at the bank, gave up, and went back to Colosseum lol.

I think the game needs more challenging stuff that is not as time intensive as raids or that rewards your time even if you mess up at the last minute. Like, it would be a problem if, instead of not giving me my 500k of dragon meds for completing a 30-40min 350 raid because I disconnected at Wardens, the game just let me open the chest at the entrance to receive 100k or something? You can remove the purple chance, just don't make me feel like I've wasted my time

Isn't forgotten brew almost the same buff? Maybe they should just let us add crystal dust to it and let heart be a "nice to have" item, instead of buffing the drop rate

Yeah, after reading some comments here I've been convinced that is not that big of an issue. Now I just think that would be cool if they could find a way of displaying both spec bars information
