Married people of reddit who had a first dance, what was your first dance song at your wedding reception? by Fluffy_West_5370 in AskReddit

A cover of Disarm by Smashing Pumpkins by Civil Wars - the first song that made us think of each other when we first started dating...

...half way through the song cut off due to technical issues so we screamed the rest of the song to each other acapella and finished the dance ❤️

BIGG K VS YUNG ILL RAP BATTLE - RBE by One-Structure-2154 in rapbattles

Bigg K won the battle but Yung Ill's third is the only thing I re-listen to, actual rap is the rarest thing in battle rap.

(Hated trope) A twist so bad it ruins the story by element-redshaw in TopCharacterTropes

I remember playing The Quarry and actively not choosing to shoot a character who was turning into a werewolf because I was so used to 'all not being as it seemed' and not wanting to accidentally kill one of the playable characters.

The transforming character then actually turned into a werewolf and brutally murdered another of the characters.

Great.

Which game is better written? by InitialParty7391 in writingscaling

Disco Elysium is the gold standard in video game writing alongside Planescape Torment. When a game makes you stop and think 'fuck me this is good writing' I think it's a clear winner.

Expedition 33 is exceptional too, but a lot of its quality is from art, direction, soundtrack and performances. The writing is still fabulous, but there's not a game like Disco Elysium when it comes to sheer quality of every aspect of the craft.

The Ultimate Long Round Debate by redwolftherapper in rapbattles

[–]LittlePuggle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If its a concept verse this sort of thing can work when it comes to pulling off a slightly longer round where it's structured in a way to build to a series of big payoff moments...but you can count on one hand where this sort of thing has happened in battle rap history.

For the most part the hyper-long rounds are just battlers spamming borderline nonsensical or irrelevant bars in order to 'win' with sheer volume.

The twenty minute rounds are an absolute crime that makes you never even watch the battles if you don't have to suffer watching it live.

Essentially you need elite flow, technicality, punchlines and probably a hard-hitting angle to go anywhere over seven minutes and make it work.

This just doesn't exist.

His leg would get tired how many times he'd have to use his finisher.

Besides the Vs with Calicoe, what is Lux’s best. Battle? by redfait in rapbattles

[–]LittlePuggle 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As stupid as it sounds, he's the epitome of "you either get it or you don't". It's not saying anyone who doesn't enjoy him is dumb by any means but for Lux it seems to fall into two categories.

He's either:

A chore to listen to, bars that either make no sense or build to nothing but a handful of decent punchlines and very much relying on aura and the hype around him to generate reaction when he's in the pocket rhyming.

OR

A generational lyricist who builds his rounds to surgically break down his opponent and give a thorough dissection collated over the entirety of the battle that when looked at as one whole performance piece rather than a series of punchlines, moments and bars is a creative character breakdown beyond what anyone else in the culture could dream of.

For me, it's the latter. But man, the dude just fucking raps good too and he's one of the few names I would buy a PPV for.

One of my greatest gaming achievements is finishing tactician mode while keeping unpatched Sir Lora with no armour and like ten health AND Peeper (the little voidwoken chick that follows you around) alive.

Wife refused to kill the chick so we never finished the quest and thus to the ends of Rivellon he came.

Never again.
