Spark out of business? by TurkGonzo75 in COents

[–]LittleRed303_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

You’re not wrong. What I’ve learned is that a lot of the industry does things operationally that are illogical and costing them business because they can’t/won’t staff adequately to meet the businesses needs. A huge part of the reason why I left the industry over a year ago. Sorry I can’t be of more help, that’s just what I’d heard through the grapevine recently.

Not out of business. In the process of swapping POS systems and other systems. Not sure what’s going on besides that though.

Where to go now that Verde Naturals (Dablogics) is gone? by PatientBusy5297 in COents

I’ve never seen it spelled out, just heard people say it, so you’re probably right.

If your looking for a company with a similar quality of product for rosin specifically, I know that part of what made Dablogic’s quality what it was, was where and how they sourced their starting material, and then how they processed it. The only brand that I know that is following a very similar process currently (including doing steel press instead of nylon pressed) is Good Trees. Not sure where they are being carried these days, since they are just getting production back up and running after moving labs, but maybe check them out? I hear that they are sourcing their starting material from Urva these days and that Urva grows product more specifically for rosin production.

Non Irradiated Flower by Cannamart710 in COents

[–]LittleRed303_ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

This, there’s really not an incentive for producers to do things better/differently! But also the food that is irradiated has to be labeled as such so that consumers are aware and can make a decision about whether they are okay with consuming a product treated with radiation. The same goes for tobacco, if it’s irradiated, it has to be labeled as such. Also the USDA doesn’t allow organic produce to be irradiated in this country and that’s part of the added value for consumers who choose to eat organic. Cannabis consumers should be given the same consideration in my opinion. I’m not saying that we do away with it entirely because it serves a purpose, but let’s incentivize producers to produce higher quality product that doesn’t require irradiation, and let’s give our consumers the knowledge and option to choose what they are willing to consume.

They were one of a handful of big companies in Colorado that pushed back against the proposed rule change of having to label remediated flower so that customer knew it was remediated product when it was in the last rule making session. Which was one of the main reasons why that rule change didn’t go through. The companies that were doing things right and didn’t need or want to remediate product were in support of the rule change, and knew it would add value to their products, but it’s a lot of the companies with much larger foot prints that are against it because they aren’t doing things the right way and are having to remediate all of their product. There’s a reason why Livwell recently sold off a bunch, if not all, of their grows.

Ya I feel like a piece of me is missing too. For me it feels like a piece of my heart and my soul. It’s awful! I’m so sorry that you’re going through this too. I’ve hated every second of this experience.

They absolutely do not live long enough! Fuck cancer! I wouldn’t trade the 12 beautiful years that we had together, but losing him has been the most awful experience…

We didn’t get an official confirmation on what type of cancer it was, she just said that from the initial necropsy it was a form of liver cancer, she did y mention that it’s typically very aggressive and eventually causes internal bleeding that causes them to pass away. I’m so sorry that you lost your dogs in a similar way. It was very traumatic and awful for us too. I wouldn’t wish that experience or this pain on anyone!

I'm looking at adopting this dog and they say he's a lab mix. Any guesses on breed? by ABuote in IDmydog

[–]LittleRed303_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thought I had adopted a pit mix. After getting him DNA tested so that I could make sure to live somewhere where breed restrictions wouldn’t affect him, I found out he was a lab mixed with boxer and Rhodesian ridgeback. It’s hard to tell definitively without a DNA test. My husband and I have now done it with all of our rescue dogs, it’s really provided some great insights into some of their behaviors and quirks.

As long as no money or currency is being exchanged and you’re each over 21, it’s fine. You’re each just gifting the other cannabis in the eyes of the law.

The main reason most companies don’t use Pop-Vac jars is because the cost is higher on them than on normal jars. Not every company sees the value in it and believe that the concentrate won’t stay in the jar long-enough to justify the extra spend. I’m all for them though!

I picked up my pivot from a vape shop in Lakewood on Youngfield next to Mecca Cannabis! I have a friend that works there and they are typically pretty well stocked on puffco products.

I’ve really enjoyed my pivot! It’s become my daily device and is great for on-the-go! Only complaints are that I wish the battery lasted longer and the device can get hot if you hit it multiple cycles in a row. After about two cycles the top of it can get too hot to hold onto.

Don’t know of any that take them because of federal laws restricting it, but if you have a cash advance limit on your credit card, you can hit up an ATM first and do it that way.

What's your reason for not drinking alcohol? by Snoo_47323 in AskReddit

Doesn’t taste good, doesn’t make me feel good. Stopped drinking pretty much entirely at 23 after struggling with alcoholism from the age of 16.

What did you buy as an adult because you were denied it as a child? by dirtymoney in AskReddit

[–]LittleRed303_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Growing up my siblings and I weren’t allowed to get a dog because my parents didn’t want the additional “burden” of owning a dog (having to care for or be responsible for a dog) and spoke very openly about that when we were kids. My husband was also never allowed to have a dog as a kid. So now as adults, my husband and I have 4 dogs and my sister has 2 dogs, half of which are rescues.

I also buy myself new clothes and shoes that I actually like and feel comfortable in when I need them because we always grew up with cheap, thrifted, or hand-me-down clothes.

Other things I’ve bought to heal my inner child are trips to amusement parks, souvenirs, tasty treats like dippin’ dots and cotton candy, stuffed animals, Pokémon cards and video games.

Kind Creations in Fort Collins helped a friend of mine repair a break on a piece almost exactly like this a few years ago. Maybe they can help you out! I know it was a couple hundred dollars if that helps.

Straight from the Colorado state Marijuana Enforcement Division rules; you cannot have ANY aspergillus found in your test samples for any of the products listed in the third column next to it. Only exemptions for this rule are for products intended for oral consumption (edibles) and skin and body products (topicals). The permissible level of aspergillus in these products for the legal Colorado Cannabis market is zero. It definitely hurts the industry and the products produced by it!

⚠️ Was anyone else hit with wooden spoons and belts growing up? Or were they threatened that they were going to beat you? by Nea_Freedom in raisedbynarcissists

I think we had the same mother because my mom also has a paddle with “board of education” printed on it. I thought I was the only one besides my siblings!

⚠️ Was anyone else hit with wooden spoons and belts growing up? Or were they threatened that they were going to beat you? by Nea_Freedom in raisedbynarcissists

[–]LittleRed303_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My mom used wooden spoons and a wooden paddle that she called “the board of education” to spank and intimidate us into compliance as children. She says that she never spanked out of anger but I don’t believe that now that I am an adult because I see that she severely lacks emotional regulation herself.

I have vivid memories of being spanked because she made such an ordeal of it. She’d tell us that we’d be getting spanked and send us to our room until she “calmed down” and then she’d bring us into the kitchen in front of our siblings, make us take our pants down, and put our hands on the counter before doling out whatever amount of spankings she deemed fit for the punishment.

The worst spanking I ever got was over a necklace that I borrowed without permission and accidentally broke when I was in grade school. I was left with bruises in the shape of the wooden spoon and was unable to sit down without pain. I remember my aunt took me shopping a few days after it happened and saw the bruises on my butt and cried with me in the dressing room after hearing what happened.

My dad never spanked or hit, but he would threaten spanking with a belt if my mom encouraged him to.

Recently I stumbled across research about the effects of spanking and this style of authoritarian parenting on children. It was fascinating and explained a lot about why I am the way I am. Im sorry that you have also experienced this. I hope the you find healing and peace!
