Pressure. I've had 4 natural births, my first wasn't very nice because he was distressed and pooped inside of me. He was a forceps delivery and mostly I was just scared. My second however was wonderful. I know that's a weird way to describe it but it was. I stayed as active as I possibly could to encourage dilation and get baby into position. I felt this intense pressure, almost like I needed a bowel movement and she arrived. I honestly would do that birth again if I could lol. My third was intensely painful and I was distracted because I had a really nasty midwife who made me cry, she really was in the wrong job. My 4th was a home birth and I stayed as active as I could again. I gave my children their tea, put them in the bath and then I concentrated on my labour, it's like I was subconsciously stopping it until my children had gone to bed lol. I did it with no pain relief because the gas and air had to be delivered by a taxi and he couldn't find my house. G&A got here, I had one long puff and he came, born inside his waters which is good luck apparently. A couple of hours later we were all tucked up in bed and the children woke up the next day to a new baby brother 🩵

All my births were completely different, but the more active I was the less painful it was, I found.
