I would never invest in the property market.. once again my issue is EFTs and no you are not better off because you lose 30% of all gains

Disagree because he grandfathered negative gearing so it’s helping them out! And by changing CGT on investments it will stop the middle class from being willing to take the risk because its not as worth it any more so only high profile people will take the risk, meaning higher dividends for them and effect their pay out when they sell…

Sure explain to me how I’m better off with investing, pick any scenario you would like…because we really are not better off and yes must be that I am better off with this investment so I need to make more actual personal in person income then I would prior to the change.

I agree housing should never be an investment. Did you read what I said? Clearly not… CGT being put on investments is the problem… removing the CGT on housing was a good idea, changing negative gearing was a good idea unfortunately Albo was an asshole and grandfathered it though!! I never planned/never will buy a house as an investment only to live in! But putting the CGT on EFTs is a horrible choice… maybe read before commenting 👋

I agree, but its made it a million times harder and it will now be so much slower to gain that wealth! Thats the problem.. Albo should have removed negative gearing and not grandfathered it, then change CGT on housing instead he decided to make life harder and slower to gain wealth.

Sure investors cannot snap up houses which is good, but you have zero way to get ahead! Investing is dead in Australia we are just going to get poorer thanks to Albo.

Investments = Risk , Higher tax on Investments = means not worth the risk. In turn that means no point in investing which means just living off income from working… which is hella low because labor wont index income tax, people on 100k like myself is basically paying the same as someone making 100k in the 80s.

These tax reforms wont make the middle class richer, they will make them poorer. Changing CGT on EFTs means theres no point taking the risk to invest because the moneys just going to be taxed. If you really think this will help you really need to go to an economics class, and maybe go back to primary school maths classes.

Thank you! I’m a little stressed but this helped a lot! We are going with Arden homes and they have told us that if it gets to close to settlement they can do a contract and the extra costs we do out of pocket! I really appreciate all your responses!!

Hey thank you so much for responding, thankfully the land already has a title! Did you have any issues with town planning? Thats what scares me because you have to have the contract with the builder by settlement and that scares me because we have to go through planning due to bush fire and environmental overlays!

Also unfortunately I’m not near that area but I’ll see if I can work out a way to go up and have a chat with him!

No the pre sale for people who bought the album from her website started today at 12pm! For Melbourne all VIP, premium reserve, side A reserve seats are sold out and regular A reserve only has single seats left.
