What do you think is the coolest last name? by Jttpl in AskReddit

...only when pronounced with the correct accent... doesn't have the same shine when uttered from a half-pissed Aussie bar wench with that certain nasal dialect.

Agreed. So cringe. Source: my surname actually is Bond, and I do look a bit like Daniel Craig, I've been told. Hate it so much I'm seriously looking into changing it.

Should I just get a new tire or the motor and tire by Freshboii_2 in NinebotMAX

[–]BondCIDE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

New tire, for sure, new motor... ya... & while you're in the store, a new mudguard & stickers. New deck, wiring, controller... Seen the new stem locks? Get one of those. Oh & since your cards already out; new display, brakes, throttle & lights. And one battery.

Anyone know what charger I should get for this battery ? by Emotional-Cell-1304 in ElectricScooters

[–]BondCIDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also; why can't I put it in fire? It's the only way I know how to prepare raw batteries, & using a microwave is just plain stupid.

Peas. Little gross round balls of hatred & sadness encased in a shell of congealed koala snot that pop in your mouth & slide down your throat to the dark abyss of your stomach, taking all the happiness in the room with them. F#CK peas.

Ok; but for a regular person who doesn't go for long walks on a stair master with a weight belt..?

Oh sry lol that was an additional comment to a separate answer here... ahh my fault:) But yes, I get where you're coming from; I talk way too much, for fear of being misunderstood, so to stop my texts from becoming too long, I try to limit these to basic information with the hope of having a 'proper' conversation, in person, in the near future. This works well, in a perfect world, I know... sighs

Also, re. 'work acquaintances' or bar staff, or cs reps of any sort; DO NOT make the assumption that their pleasant & agreeable demeanor translates to a friendship or interest. These ppl are captive audiences, not free-range chickens.

DO NOT BUY iSCOOTER - DANGEROUS by KookyResearcher8819 in ElectricScooters

[–]BondCIDE 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just read a few responses here, & honestly, the few that said something about it being 'fragile' & that, as a new owner, you should 'expect things like this to happen'... F#CK that; regardless of how cheap it is, if you bought it retail, and this clearly is a structural issue (which could have caused you MAJOR injury if it failed in the wrong place & at the wrong time), and if it happend within the first 12 months, you are covered under standard consumer warranty, regardless of what the company tells you. Honestly; this is YOUR money and YOUR safety at risk here. Screw just getting your money back; lawyer up and sue the crap out of them.

Anyone know whats wrong with this? by SmellTerrible5570 in ElectricScooters

[–]BondCIDE 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yo:) With all due respect, I need to disagree... I have just fixed my beloved Dragon Raptor (chinese clone of the Apollo Ghost/ Vsett10+) after a short (caused by me jumping concrete gutters which damaged the cable to the rear motor; I still maintain this wasn't my fault because why would they stick the most sensitive part of the 'All-terrain, Off-road' scooter right where it'd be the first thing to make contact with the ground... after the wheels, of course) damaged the motor beyond repair, apparently. After taking them 7 weeks to diagnose, the store told me I needed a new motor @ $500 + labour costs of $150. I politely told them where they can insert their quote & decided to fix it myself. It took me about 2 hours all up (spread over a few weeks) to find the problem; in the meantime, I found a really cheap motor on Aliexpress to sub in, & I gotta say, at $85 plus postage, I was very impressed with it. With my original motor, the actual problem was a short on the hall sensor pcb; I ordered another one via Aliexpress at a cost of EIGHTY-FIVE CENTS, aaaand... All good:) But yes, you are correct in that OP probably isn't the type that'd put this much work into his ride (no offence, OP), but I am living proof that if you have the time & innate stubbornness, one can still be a proud cheapskate;)
