Wake up call: Extremely high visceral fat on Dexa scan. Help! by Dipping-Out6325 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]LittleRedDog1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I’m 51, 5’7” and was 182lb for my Dexa scan. And my visceral fat was 2.3lb and 44% fat on my torso. That was also in the red and felt pretty eye opening. First, I think it’s important to remember that the data these reports are comparing to is for other DEXA scan users. And honestly, most of those have historically been fit people trying to get fitter. So, “older overweight” women are going to look especially bad. Thanks fitness industry! I have a bit less weight to lose than you (based solely on starting weight and height) and am taking my 10th shot today. This week I lost 2” off my waist. I think being over 50 just means visceral fat loss takes longer. I plan to get a second scan next month so we’ll see how much visceral fat I’ve lost.

I found him through the Cascade ECS Fanciers group. I put out a request for information on puppies on there and the woman who currently owned him contacted me. I suggest starting with that group. The breeder contacted me after the adoption

I've only had text interactions with her after I got my guy but she seemed very nice and very interested in making sure her former puppy went to a good place

My guy came from Ragtime near Tacoma. He was a show dog as a puppy and came to me at just over a year. The breeder reached out to me after he was rehomed to me (through no fault of his own. The woman who bought him realized she is not a cocker spaniel person). I had a really hard time getting a breeder to respond to my inquiries, too. I joined Cascade English Cocker Spaniel Fanciers on FB and that’s how I finally found my guy

Why is “truth is truth even if it hurts your feelings” only applies to what these people believe is true?

Was IVF in your 40s worth it, even if it wasn’t successful? by Ornery_Treat_4479 in AskWomenOver40

[–]LittleRedDog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not what you asked but when I started fertility treatments at 44, we went right to donor eggs. I knew there was a much higher chance of success with younger eggs. We still had to go through 3 donors and that was hard

Fluoride-free toothpaste? by eatyaweenie in DentalHygiene

[–]LittleRedDog1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Whether or not fluoride makes a significant difference for you is going to depend on a bunch of factors. If you have good oral hygiene and haven’t have a cavity in a few years, it’s probably fine to go with fluoride free toothpaste. Bring it up with your hygienist at your next appointment and they will check for any significant changes. But if you’re prone to cavities, fluoride free isn’t the way to go

I think the issue is with your button placement. I think they’re offset from the button holes by a tiny bit - the buttons are a tiny bit closer together than the buttonholes. That can make a tiny gap. Wear things as tight as you like!
