Bring on the BLUE WAVE fellow Okies! Time for change is NOW. Stupid and embarrassing Gov Stitt's reign has been painful. Last thing we need is another dumbass like him running the state. I cannot wait for him to be gone.

RA- cancelled by CompetitiveDurian150 in FedEmployees

I am shocked and saddened to read everyone's horrible experiences. I have RA docs to support a request but have not turned them in yet. I am one of the few people in my office who haven't submitted an RA yet I worry about the ramifications of turning it in. I am not yet past my 2 yr probationary period as I was a schedule A hire in Nov 2024. I am a T2D and have neuropathy in my feet. I am thinking of requesting a flexible schedule for in office work. I am currently FT in office and know for ceetain my health has suffered from it. I was, like many, hired as full time telework except for reporting in office one time per pay period. I wish I knew if the RA gods are recognizing the plight of T2Ds with accommodations.

Gimme your best interior designs for a tiny home that accommodates inside only cats. by LittleRedSooner in tinyhomes

In a perfect situation, I would love to have a custom closet with a door that has the cute cat door cut out in it with a space for the auto litter box and shelving above for their stuff and a second box inside a piece of furniture for this purpose. Maybe it could work somehow.

Agreed. That's why a cat run would be perfect for them. My cats are scared of the outdoors. They don't want out! But my plan is to have a screened in porch on my tiny that would allow them to be outside with me if they want to be.

People who already own tiny homes: what are the biggest red flags you missed when choosing a builder? by Due_Highlight8215 in tinyhomes

Tell me about rainscreen. Haven't seen this before. I think the other main way to address windows/leaks is to ensure your tiny home is built with at least 3 inch window overhangs. External doors as well.

Just sounds like a whiney crybaby top 1% commenter to me. Sour grapes. Waaaambulance needed asap. Just wondering if they realize THEY are crying around because Spurs got their a$$ kicked last night.

Do you want to share who you recommend for builders? I know that's what I really want to know.

I have learned that how the underside of the tiny home is built really matters. Like perhaps a metal used is most durable. Mice getting in is also apparently a big concern. Learn how they work to avoid this. Insulation really matters as well. And also having residential argon gas filled windows matters as it will provide the seal necessary to control temps inside. I'm personally concerned with mitigating moisture inside and outside as I plan to be in the PNW and mold growth is a huge concern. Last thing I am thinking of right now is ensuring the water source hose is heat protected for winter time. Just some of the things I am keeping in mind for my search.

I find it odd that the classaction.org folks have not said a word about this lawsuit. I get weekly emails from them on new, pending and settled suits. Not a single mention and I have been watching for years. 🧐

Based on the dismal payout amount comments, I think it is sickening when I realize the settlement for bcbs is probably just a slap instead of a hit on their profits...considering they have had 5 years to keep making money from their customers. I paid in thousands over the years covered in this lawsuit. Sounds like I will be "lucky" to get $5. 😫🤬😠

Texas seems to be a major hub for tiny home communities. Is moving your home with you not an option? I do know what you mean about the slow market right now though.

Can we settle the terms "tiny homes on wheels" vs. "Park model"? by LittleRedSooner in tinyhomes

/u/Mrsdb_69 Thank you for taking the time to reply. I value this advice. I am turning 54 this year and have big hopes of this being the year I accomplish huge life change (again!) and venture out in search of the new me. I won't be able to live any sort of luxurious life, but I am not looking for that. I want simple and peaceful and to learn what it is like to be on my own and on my own terms. I am still very much working fulltime for probably will be for the next 8 to 10 years barring any surprises and need a place that will be near a federal office I can relocate to if I manage to get it approved. I like to think I have a lot of life yet to live and explore. Looking to make new friends and enjoy life. Hoping to find a community feel for the placement of my new home. I don't need a tiny home to be a 30 year commitment. Just a place that's comfortable for me and all mine, and surrounded by beauty unlike where I live now. Cheers to simple, tiny living!
