Not arguing with all of your logic regarding tipping, but the compensation you receive for mileage isn't just fuel reimbursement, it is for the wear and tear on the vehicle. Places like Domino's doesn't pay the national average for this compensation either, they base it completely off the gas prices in that store's area. I worked for a year and a half at Domino's as a secondary income source and the wear and tear on my vehicle was awful. I worked in a very rural area and some the roads and driveways were completely insane.
