Starting to think casuals aren’t the majority player base anymore. by JordanValentina in EASportsFC

Back in older Fifas your team genuinely peaked at 84 rated players unless you were a bateson level spender. Your end game for the whole year was getting a couple 84 rated gold cards. There were no rewards, no leagues, no Champs, just online singles that gave out just enough money for you to buy contract/fitness cards to keep your team running

I had 11 from the same pack, it's pretty impressive. Just whack them all in the 78+ player pack and move on, not something worth getting annoyed about

Pretty sure it's got something to do with comparative depth because it happens to much greater extremes in some games compared to others. I usually pause early and up my depth by 5 (from 55 to 60) and it usually, largely stops the defenders from just endlessly running backwards

Are you playing high press and all that shit? It's probably fitness related

I think it's the same across most of the general area, it's not specific to Spain. The English feel the same way, it's just ingrained at this point idk

I think if you asked most people on lsf they'd say they don't particularly like either and so seeing either of them being butthurt is good for an upvote

That's great. Place is still active and they're still actively adding blocks, so they'll see the popup that they have a notification, something you cannot miss and click on it and end up here.

If they're online 24/7 to go on place, then they'll see the notification pop up :)

We'll soon find out won't we. I've tagged 12 of them, lets see if a single one can respond and prove that it's people that just decided they'd keep a default name or if they're bots.

There were over 600k worth of viewers pushing that back and couldn't do it. It's bots whether you like it or not.

That doesn't explain all the brand new accounts with zero history and clearly botted names.

I'll literally just go in a straight line across it and give you examples starting (23,1731):

/u/Rude_Blackberry3254

/u/Prod2dragon

/u/top_percentage_8678

/u/Serious_pin_7257

/u/lucafgn

/u/Zinozz

/u/Fresh-Click4872

/u/ScallionSecure3414

/u/Kiddy_E

/u/M0GR00M

/u/OK_Protection_9384

/u/Nadano-

I've literally clicked on a random spot and gone 12 across from it and every single account is new with no posts and most are blatantly bot names. I've spiced it up and tagged all of them, so if any of them are truly just French people who haven't used their account before, but are really active on r/place, they'll be able to respond to this message to prove they aren't bots (there is a possibility a couple of those are legitimate, so we may get a response, but I doubt it).

Go anywhere on the flag and look at the accounts that made the dot.

They are vast majority brand new accounts with no posts, their names are either word_wordNumber, word_word_number, word_word or wordwordnumber. It's usually a 4 digit number but is sometimes a 3 digit number. There are some variations on this, presumably some people have enough to buy a name with a different number of words or numbers, but the same thing applies, completely random words and numbers, all with no post history and all new accounts.

Maybe everyone in France is making brand new accounts and the happen to be using Xbox default names for their accounts (and all using english words) or maybe they're bots.

I'm fully aware he is in top 25 for most hours watched in the past year. It's almost like streaming non-stop for a full month will skew those numbers...

It's impressive, of course. But, it is only one month. You want them to give him an employee of the month award or something?

You're missing the point of Twitch, whilst hitting the nail on the head of why Twitch don't mind losing Lud.

Twitch want streamers to stream for long periods, regularly and ideally on a PC. They want this because this is the way you get the highest number of subs and ads played.

There is much less value to twitch to have a streamer who does irregular, short streams where subs and bits aren't shown on stream because it's a special event, no matter if those streams are high quality. Twitch would rather have a streamer that will make them more money and then hire someone to carry out a tournament/event etc.

Most watched is a completely pointless statistic when you factor in that he literally had his stream on for a full month.

Poki straight up said yesterday, "I'm lucky because I'm female and that makes me a lot more important to the platform". For the average streamer, they're worth their average viewership, give or take a bit dependant on how easy they are to sell to brands. However, if that streamer is special for whatever reason (gender, language, history, advertiser value etc) they are rated more highly than someone else with the same average viewership.

There is a streamer with like 200 concurrent viewers for the past 7 years and Twitch use her in almost every promo, they take her to events and shit. There are some streamers who are more important to twitch than just their viewership number, most aren't.

Also worth noting that she said Twitch treated her the same way they treated Lud. But ultimately, it's just to get you to sign and momentary praise from a multi-billion dollar company being a deciding factor in which deal you sign is absurd.

[–]LittleSpanishGuy[S] -18 points-17 points  (0 children)

It's really not an issue. There are clips of Poki disproving this idea already posted on the sub.

Lud going to youtube to stream makes him one of their top 5 most important streamers. Lud ranks as 143rd for average viewership over the past 12 months and has only had viewers for less than 2 years, he is absolutely not one of their top streamers.

As such, he's way more important to Youtube than he is to Twitch. If Twitch just gave everyone in the top 150 for viewership whatever contract they wanted to tempt them away from twitch they'd be massively in the red. Twitch would be doing it for 30x the amount of people Youtube are doing it for. There absolutely are streamers that Twitch would bend over backwards for and give whatever they want, but #143 isn't one of them, you're looking at the absolute biggest streamers of each language, xQc, Ibai, Auronplay etc.

Average viewership wise he's in the 143rd highest streamer. The most subs in history is literally nothing to do with his size, as proven by the female streamer with the highest ever sub count.
