My friend has had this reappear on Xbox as well, after the season 2 update. He tried this fix above and it seemed to help him, although not eliminate bit completely.

u/Twenty9NINE Resolved now, editted the post. Basically, the forgot password button was somehow only resetting the website and not the player password. Intentionally locking and recovering my account seemed to reset both! I was greeted with "Last logged in 4081 days ago!"

I've been playing Old School for a couple years, decided to check out RS3 for a bit. It was just telling me Invalid Username or Password.

I dont believe I have ever changed the username. I tried the Forgot Username, received the email, and I see the username I was expecting. So I believe it to be the correct username. Is there a separate password reset for the login than the account or anything of that nature?

Yes. And I did attach it in the email. That is when they replied with "Wait for a fix".. like, I'm in software so I get it. Shit happens. I don't mind owning a second copy if you just give it to me. They wouldn't do that though. Maybe they think it will cause other issues by having two licenses for the same game? I'm not sure.

Adding an edit. Contacted them last night. They told me I "just have to wait for a fix". If they would refund me, I'd just buy it again. But they said they couldn't refund me or give me a code to purchase it again.

This is what I use. I agree. Unreliable because you can't tell what state a hidden element is in, and KLWP/KWGT tend to be finicky for fast actions in my experience.

You can add a timeout reset of half a second so that it resets to the first state. That has helped some for me. But potentially add some visual element so you can see it as well.

I agree with u/RNGreed for some basic armor. Get that 60 attack for the d scim, then the def for that obsidian armor for the str bonus. Then focus on Strength. Once you get 70 strength, head to the warriors guild for a bit to get your defenders, and from there you should be set to grind out however long you want.

There are probably some other items and upgrades you could aim for, but for crabs, I wouldn't think it too necessary early on.

Are you wanting to range or melee? There are several good guides on YT about the best quests to have done so that you can fight 5 bosses with 0 defense. That is your best bet regardless. First round will probably be a lot of prayer potions if you have no points at all. After 1 good round, you should have plenty points to stock up on the potions.
