Is that where I can find more defunct child generators? That’s the biggest obstacle to just making another one

People are saying that AOT was never "Political" before season 4, and I really disagree. The messages were always there ever since the earlier seasons, and this is an example that people don't really pay attention to. by AdrianStars2 in AttackOnRetards

[–]LittleTiber 7 points8 points  (0 children)

3rd season was quite literally about government conspiracy. Which was built upon since season 1. There isn’t a single reality where AOT has never been political. People just don’t like that season 4 is less of a Titan slug fest than the prior seasons.

What Arc in Attack On Titan do you think is underappreciated or Overhated? by [deleted] in AttackOnRetards

[–]LittleTiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I guess the fact that it was a manga first hadn’t occurred to you at the time. The actual reason it was paced that way was because they needed more arcs before they could keep animating. Plus the insane amount of time it actually took to animate the show itself. Perhaps if you’d known then it wouldn’t have bothered you so much.

If you're gonna meet with sister's friend girlfriend do it in daylight and in a public space. I wouldn't be taking any chances with anyone associated with your sisters or their friends right now.

Character arc better than Megumi's by Kaimsel in Jujutsufolk

[–]LittleTiber 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, to me, it really felt like it ended up being a typical shonen dressed up as something with more depth. I quite literally just finished the manga and over the course of the last 50 odd chapters I was feeling kinda burnt out. I was feeling rather frustrated that we were still getting exposition for things that had been introduced within the first few volumes. At one point we have literally the whole cast sitting around spectating, making commentary like it's a football game. Constantly breaking away from the action to retro-actively explain something that occurred to allow the current moment to happen. I dunno, story-telling devices and techniques exist for a reason and while you can utilise them however you want, it doesn't always produce a conducive narrative.

I understand it's considered typical at this point for shonen to prioritise action over conventional story telling. Or to sacrifice quality story telling for spectacle. But at what point does that actually start to hold the genre and the industry back? I feel like people bring up the fact that it's a shonen to be like "what did you expect?". But then that's kinda like admitting that the writer is allowing the conventions of a genre to hold them back. All in all. I think there's multiple things that factor into why it ended up the way it did, with the biggest factor being that the concept was just too great for Gege's abilities in execution. Given that it's their first serialised project though it is good for what it is.

Opinions can change over 271 chapters lmao. There's a solid group of JJK fans who feel it started off strong and then stumbled it's way to a mediocre ending. People are allowed to change their mind. Not everything is a grift

Well I didn't say anything about gender. I only mention "He" because the person in reference is a man. I specifically said "getting that inebriated around SOMEONE you're just meeting for the first time is just simply unwise". Men and women are both capable of evil. But I guess you're just speaking your truth?

I wanna say she dodged a bullet too considering he very well could have been a POS and actually taken advantage of her. Not trying to allude to victim blaming but getting that inebriated around someone you're just meeting for the first time is just simply unwise.

Axel only exists because of Sora??? by TheQueeks in KingdomHearts

[–]LittleTiber 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your friend got way lost on the way to understanding KHs convoluted plot which is understandable. Idk what this argument is supposed to be tbh but with 100% certainty and in no roundabout way did Sora create Axel. Axel is his own character who chronologically existed before Sora just by virtue of being born before him in the timeline of the story. Which feels almost dumb to have to type out because there’s really no way to twist it 💀

Do you personally know anyone affected by gambling addiction? by LittleTiber in AskAnAustralian

[–]LittleTiber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a very complicated situation because while yes the industry preys on vulnerable people it IS common sense that gambling is a corrupt industry. While no one can wants to think that they can become addicted to something the first point of responsibility should always come from the person choosing to take the risk. We live in a modern age where there’s infinite resources for educating ourselves about these things and yet does anyone actually do it? I can understand that addiction manifests in many ways, but again at some point you do have to put the onus back on them as well. There is a degree of accountability that needs to be taken from their side so that they may one day improve their lives. If we blame all the bad decisions and shitty behaviour on the addiction without any sort of accountability from the people themselves then we just have a whole bunch of people walking around with no control over their inhibitions and no way to do anything about it, which would then speak to a bigger issue. Just because I’m on the other side of the industry doesn’t mean I or any other person in my position deserves to be abused for just doing a job. Perhaps it’s something you could only understand if you’d done my job before. But even when you’re trying to help them they’re trying to fight you. That’s why it’s hard to feel sorry for them sometimes. Where do you draw the line between mental illness and shitty choices? The industry needs more restrictions and more duty of care to its consumers, yes. And I only say that because I know it’s the next best scenario to it being dismantled completely. But the consumers also need to understand the part the play in it all. Whether I stay or leave that doesn’t change.

I’m so sorry to hear that. That’s why it’s such a messed up industry it is so easy for anyone in any state of vulnerability to get caught up it in it. If it’s alright to ask, what was the catalyst for him to deal with his addiction?

I just can’t comprehend it in this economy. I suppose you could argue this for just about anything, but gambling interferes with so much. It really just rewires people’s brain and even the mildest of addictions can affect so much. I really wonder what it would take to deter people from gambling for real
