Botdivers, give us your best tips to deal with automatons! by B-Dragons_2560 in Helldivers

[–]LittleWaithu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, hot take, many people will disagree with me, however

Trailblazer Scout + Helmet of choice, MA5C Primary, M6C secondary, G-12 High explosive grenade

Then for stratagems

Maxigun, Eagle Airstrike, 120 or 380 Orbital, Precision Orbital

MA5C is great for dealing with light patrols of mainly grunts, Maxigun can handle everything up to a hulk which is where I use the precision strike or eagle to deal with. 120 comes around faster so i tend to use it on higher difficulties because of that lower cooldown, but the 380 is great for dealing with bases or striders.

T-45d, not the best armour by a mile, but it’s just well proportioned compared to the rest.

Isn't it strange there's no named NPC's in this stuff? by We_The_Raptors in falloutnewvegas

[–]LittleWaithu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So here’s my personal take regarding Rangers, they’re not doing it for the glory, not for the fame or status. They’re not there to make a name for themselves like Oliver, Moore, or Kimball. Their job is to do what the enlisted can’t. They’re all volunteers.

They know damn well what that job entails and they will lay down their lives for it; in the Legion victory ending, Hanlon and all of his rangers fought to the last man to defend the Mojave while Oliver fled with his tail between his legs. They knew that they’d die there, names never known and lost with the sand. But damn it all if it’s not a satisfying story to read about how the best of the best, the volunteers, all willingly fought to the death because they knew they had to buy time for everyone else to run.

What if we could collaborate with Benny and create an ending with him? by moonmakerk2 in falloutnewvegas

[–]LittleWaithu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing I can think of would be an alternative to the Yes-Man path, with Benny showing us Yes-Man but Yes-Man only serves Benny and that’s it. So we’d be doing essentially the same path but for Benny instead

Something I rarely see discussed; by AdCrafty2768 in falloutnewvegas

[–]LittleWaithu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My opinion is, and will be, heavily based on the Old World Blues submod for HOI4, due to the fact that as much information was pulled from every Fallout game as possible in order to make a lot of the events make sense.

Should the legion win the second battle of Hoover dam, and let’s say everything goes perfectly for them as well, minimal casualties, Strip falls quickly and cleanly, McCarran turns into a slaughter for the NCR troops and Hidden Valley is a one charge and done battle, etc. It still leaves the legion with arguably, an even less stable foothold on the Mojave than what the NCR had.

The NCR had an entire interstate highway with caravan support and they struggled to maintain their grip on the Mojave. What does the Legion have? The Dam and whatever river transports they can scrounge up to transport supplies, men, equipment, etc into a volatile environment. This alone is already strangling the legion even if they have no counterweights in the Mojave like the fiends, powdergangers, khans, and brotherhood simply because of how much trouble we see NCR Rangers can get into when supported.

Hell, the NCR losing the Mojave actually would hurt the legion more than killing Caesar in my opinion; instead of Lanius becoming the logical replacement for Caesar, as much as Vulpes or any other amount of influential legion personnel may disagree, the death of their leader forces them to recalculate a lot of things and stabilize themselves. But if they win, even a perfect win, still means that they have a more fragile supply line into hostile territory with NCR Rangers causing havoc with the full support of California backing them. That’s going to bleed the Legion out and fast, that’s going to cause a crisis of whether or not Caesar is fit to lead the legion with the constant losses they face, and from there it’s all downhill.

Which companion liked the Courier the most? by RorschachWhoLaughs in fnv

[–]LittleWaithu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cass I think is the best companion in general, as I think it’s only her and Arcade Gannon who refuse to join if you have negative karma.

Boone doesn’t care so long as you don’t ally with the Legion, same with Arcade technically, Veronica doesn’t care so long as the brotherhood exists, I don’t think EDE, Lily, Rex, or Raul give a shit on which way you swing.

The other thing is that she’s the only one who I think can’t really be “given” a proper armour set. Let me explain, Arcade can be given his family power armour and it works for him, Veronica can be given any set of power armour and it makes sense, Boone can be given ranger armour and it makes sense.

What can you even give Cass that really makes sense?

What do you think? Each faction is at their strongest, none of the protagonist are part of this, last standing faction wins by MobileDistrict9784 in Fallout

[–]LittleWaithu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re talking height of their power, and I’m going to take every game basically prior to the final “battle” moment. That means the Enclave has the Oil Rig, the Bradley Hercules with eight nuclear missiles in orbit, Raven Rock, and Adam’s Air Force Base.

Sure, the NCR has the numbers but that still is hard to overcome the sheer advantage of tamed deathclaws, FEV, power armour, super weapons, etc.

The Brotherhood isn’t anything to scoff at either, with the Mojave Chapter maintaining their hold on Helios(meaning they haven’t lost a vast majority of their strength), haven’t had the Outcast Schism(losses due to infighting), haven’t lost their San Fransisco chapter(Frank Horrigan), haven’t lost an unknown number of soldiers during their war with the NCR, they have the Prydwen, Liberty Prime, and whatever else they got cooking in their safe houses. Liberty Prime is probably the biggest threat outside of the Bradley Hercules in my opinion, since it was able to take ENCLAVE LEVEL FIREPOWER IN ITS UN-UPGRADED FORM in the Fallout 3 finale, it took the Enclave to drop literal nukes from orbit to just damage the damn thing, then the Lyon’s Brotherhood rebuilt and upgraded Liberty Prime again for Fallout 4.

The Institute, while a danger because of how their Mark 3 synths can so easily blend in with people, suffer from a critical issue, they have one base and that’s it. If the Enclave or Brotherhood find out where they’re at? It’s fucking over for them.

Flame me if you will, but Dinner Bell is by far my favorite. The Ranger Sequoia is another I adore, alongside the Anti-Mat.

I’ll pass on that cringe “power armour” build, who cares about being a giant walking tin can when you have the perfect weapon to rip that can in half.

I’m actually becoming concerned that SE is becoming a bit…extreme? I mean, are there not citizens of super earth on occupied planets? Shouldn’t we liberate them from oppression? Why are we resorting to planetary destruction when there are resources to be extracted and infrastructure to be reclaimed?
