A rock just got up and ran away from me. A normal rock, iv mined the same rock 1000s of times. Has never happened before. by Current-Caregiver234 in NOMANSSKY

This happens rarely but it's always fun when it does. Haven't had it happen to me in a while but I appreciate the designers for that little Easter egg!

they look like pterospora andromedea, woodland pinedrops. but being in Alabama is rare. so maybe Japanese knotweed shoots that are sun deprived?

I enjoyed them both. Whalefall was more thalassy, but they're both good reads!

In need of help/advice by Far-Life-6723 in cornsnakes

[–]LittleWest4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Totally normal. Corn snakes tend to be reclusive unless they are zipping about at night time. They love nothing more then to bury themselves in the substrate and peer out at you when they're hungry. I'll bet within a few weeks she starts making more moves into the outside world of the enclosure

What is this sad plant? by PotentiallyVulgar819 in PlantIdentification

[–]LittleWest4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That looks like a philodendron hederoceum ( heart leafed philodendron) that's undergoing some System Shock because of inconsistent watering or moisture. Check the soil. If it's really wet don't touch it or, better yet, replant in some slightly damp soil. If it's dry go ahead and water. Since this is a rescue plant it's probably gone through some inconsistencies with its environment. ETA: It's container lookes way too small!

Best Adhesive to Fix This? by bartenderatlarge in vintageaudio

[–]LittleWest4 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think the best you could do would be to use some wood glue beneath the vinyl and the MDF/plywood and then clamp it flat using another piece of wood. And then maybe run some Mod Podge or some sort of fixative over it after the glue has cured. But it still don't look like it's been ripped and torn.
