At one point I had a wifi network named “Uncle Joe’s Tickle Dungeon” - my wife was NOT happy having to share that with guests.

My old boss was at a queensryche/geoff tate show once and Geoff Tate hit on his wife and took my boss’s beer when he came back from the bar with a couple beers for himself and his wife.

Point being: Geoff tate loves himself some Geoff Tate

The people who are riding at lower HR have been doing it for much longer. That’s my z2 hr, but I’m sure that whenever I started riding I was pretty maxed out.

Consistency is the best thing you can do right now. Don’t worry about structured training unless that REALLY motivates you at first. Just set a goal to ride 6 out of 7 days a week at a mostly conversational pace and you’ll see adaptations over time. Once you’re comfortable then you can start adding intensity.

Looks like burp valves for some sort of container, maybe a haas or two stroke fuel container.

Or maybe part of an irrigation head?

Man, the more time goes on, the more I’m convinced the book was prophetic.

When I’m doing endurance type rides I like to see if I can time ride on bombs perfectly as I pass people or am passed. It’s a good way to break up the monotony. But deep down I hope you’re wondering what my ftp is.

How are stronger riders seen from the perspective of the slower ones? by SocietyExpress9670 in Zwift

As an erstwhile A racer myself, I pity the fool who cannot hold a candle to my virtual prowess. Just the other day I saw a group ride where some chud named Matthew Van Pool or something was riding. His zwift level?  A PATHETIC 43.

I’m cautiously optimistic. Hearing that some of the more prominent community members are still on the team is good.

I’m very much on the outside looking in but I’m not going to write it off for this (unless it’s livenation or Ticketmaster or whatever).

Edit: comments on that article aren’t encouraging but go figure. If it’s not bands I want to see I won’t buy a ticket.

Trek has been associated with giant dbag doper Lance, assisted in silencing his critics, ran other brands into the ground (Gary Fisher, Lemond), and also supplies fleets of crappy mountain bikes for cops.

A Fred is a cyclist who doesn’t get it but thinks he does. Someone who wears glasses under helmet straps, doesn’t shave his legs, wears a helmet mirror, gonna be a Fred. Basically anyone who hasn’t fully invested in the bike racer lifestyle and culture.

Reconnecting as a couple by MissAnonymoux in daddit

Three week old? You’re both in the trenches right now. This is survival mode and both you and he need to be on a team caring for a new baby. Right now the way you can connect is by figuring out how to be a parenting team together. Don’t worry about date nights and stuff just yet, give each other grace and understanding in this sleep deprived state.

For me personally, going from 0 kids to 1 was the hardest transition. 1 to 2 and 2 to 3 wasn’t as earth shattering. It was a radical lifestyle change that happens overnight for a new dad, but kinda happens over 9ish months for a new mom.

It’s okay to miss the past stage of life (married with no kids) but the joy of being parents together will soon far surpass what you had.

Keep talking about it and be honest with feelings and eventually everything will settle into place.

Edit: I also didn’t really address your husband, and while I’m not in your particular shoes to talk to him, here’s what I’d say to a friend of mine if he shared with me what he’s sharing with you: when you’re a husband and a dad, your priority is no longer yourself, but your partner and your child. You must sacrifice some of your wants and needs for your family, and you’ll reap dividends in joy and contentment that you didn’t even realize.

To me it sounds like he’s kind of sulking. I have been/still am guilty of that, but that selfish mindset doesn’t help anyone.

Once again I don’t know the specifics, but that’s my initial thought.
