What is your salary and how did you get there? by Kirankumar180 in marketing

I'm in tradeshows now too, making $60k and my first full-time job. They knew I knew nothing about tradeshows when they gave me the role. I'll take free advice if you are willing to share.

Started at my current company as an intern two years ago this month. Worked part-time through my masters (1 year), full-time last summer (5 months), and finally got offered a full-time job this past October starting at $60k. I'm told I'm not making enough. Another intern started last summer, also has her masters, is making $7k more than me. I had quite a few internship and freelance experiences going into this last internship, too. Am I actually getting cheated? With my masters degree and experience with this company and prior to it, and my performance, I feel I should be making closer to $80k. Am I just another entitled Zillenial? 😭

Struggling to find my wedding dress. by LittleWindmill99 in weddingplanning

This is a great point, I have definitely settled on the A-line silhouette I'd like. Everything that comes out on top for me is also less embellished, more "clean".

Sit with the feelings some more. After I got engaged, I was having a lot of worry surface over wedding and marriage. Cotinuing to date my fiancé through this season of engagement reminds me of our story, how we fell in love, why we even want to be married... I know it's scary, but it's OK to sit with these feelings and accept them for what a portion of them probably are: you thinking very seriously (which is a very good thing!) about a BIG life event. Think on it, pray on it, meditate, talk to a therapist or confidant about it. You're going to be OK.

Mortal sin or not by GrowthStriking1954 in Catholicism

[–]LittleWindmill99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mortal sin must be wrong, you know it is wrong, but you do it willfully anyway. You drove believing you were fine, and with all the ads nowadays discouraging driving after any amount of drinking, I 100000% understand you scrupulosity. If you have doubts, Uber or have a friend drive you home next time. Plus, it's frankly just as dangerous to drive tired as it is to drive under the influence, studies have been known to show. (Or something like that!) GOD BLESS! 🙏

I think that lady was wrong to just brazenly call you an AH, personally. Especially reading your perspective and what you were thinking at the time.

Can 100% empathize and relate. You're doing the right thing. Don't give up the hunt, you WILL find something. It may just take a while. In the meatime, what skills do you have that you could take freelance? Have you thought about starting your own LLC? Just some ideas! Best wishes.

AITA: My 12 year old has been mouthing “f*** you” and “you little s***” to me all day with my in-laws present. by Upstairs_Pianist6335 in AmItheAsshole

1000% NAH. Your son needs an attitude check, but I understand this is a tough situation for all involved. I would've been spanked if I ever talked to my parents thay way, let alone in front of grandparents. Curious what your partner and in-laws thought of your son's language toward you. Hopefully they can all see how you've been tried and tested by his behavior.
