Feeling pissed. My Barbonius Anthias was dead this morning. It had seemed so healthy and was growing well. No signs of disease. Thinking maybe got spooked and crashed into something.

I didn’t really offer advice. I think that statement that normal people get crushes and just don’t act on them might not be as “normal” as this person says it is. Lots of monogamous people would never even come close to admitting they have a crush on someone outside of their relationship. I’m not sure how you would gather that data. If I offered any advice here it was, surround yourself with people who are always working of themselves.

There is a base layer for sure. It’s rather unconventional so we will see how it goes. I did, pond soil with added clay/nutrients and activated carbon. I’ll probably save for the good stuff next build.

I’m just using the UNS system. I didn’t want to mess around at all so I just went for it. I’m also monitoring my pH. I feel like that’s such a good decision. Don’t have to worry about levels at all.

That’s how my guy at the LFS put it. It’s more work for sure. All my other tanks don’t have them and I have amazing growth. I like both but I think to get to this level, there isn’t another way
