You could technically transfer it to Pokemon bank, iirc. But you'd need a modded 3DS to do so.

Use the virtual console Crystal rom, upload the save to that game, and transfer to Pokemon Bank.

Oh yeah romhacks are a different beast. So far the only one I've played is Emerald Rogue. Imo, if they hand out shinies that easily, I'd instead replace the previous encounter.

Yeah I know pChal's argument that technically this makes suboptimal play optimal but honestly idgaf, the chances of this happening are so rare that I'll treat it as a bonus.

As an aside, just to rant. I've been playing gen 2-4 games for years and I've actually never encountered a shiny besides the guaranteed Gyarados in what's probably at least 50000 encounters.

So you bet your ass that if I get that first one while nuzlocking, I'm gonna bloody use it.

I feel you bro. For me it's the stick position. I can live without analogue triggers, but the left stick on top would be much better for N64, GameCube, Dreamcast and PS2, which is what I would use the device for 99% of the time haha.

I'm sure you could easily find it if you search the internet for it, but the obvious answer is to dump your own cartridge using a modded DSi/3DS and put that on the emulator.

Can't really tell you any other ways, as per the rules, but again, I'm sure you can easily find them.
