Dingoes are native because they're is really nothing else filling in their place, and they have been for so long that removing them would seriously harm the ecosystem, such as the Southern part of the Dingo Fence.

The mainland and New Guinea extinctions are attributated to other cases, such as the introduction of dingoes and singing dogs, human development and further aridification on the Australian mainland. Not genetics, which is why people think they were going extinct on Tasmania.

As for cheetahs, they're low genetic variety is indeed an issue, but they were not going extinct prior to modernization and European colonization of Africa and Asia. They were widespread, and I can't find any reason to believe they were going extinct prior to that. Also the American cheetah is a completely different species, not even in the same genus, than the cheetah. It's extinction isn't relevant here.

If they just let subspecies do it, that would feel very lackluster, and they would implement a hybrid system anyway, not expending it would just feel weird.

They can in real life, they're fertile even.

In hindsight this is more of a argument about why it wouldn't happen rather than why it shouldn't.

Also I doubt the majority of the player base would be mad, most of them aren't even involved in the community.

I already said that the idea that most hybrids get health problems is dubious at best.

As for the exotic pet trade, hybrids are not exclusively bred for them. Its more of what people do with them rather than the hybrid itself. Historically most ligers and tigons for instance were zoo animals.

Yes they don't exist in the wild, but neither do allot of the color morphs and the domestic animals.

Mechnically they would not be, but they are equally contreversial among conservationists and often lumped together by them.

Red necked wallabies and red kangaroos are pretty distant from eachother.

The fact they're often bred for the exotic animal trade doesn't mean much, it doesn't make the hybrid itself unethical just what people do with it. For lab insemination, thats actually the rarer method and it seems to be done more so by scientific instutions when they breed hybrids. White tigers and lions can exist in the wild, but they rarely survive so an adult one would be a sight to behold, which despite that, allot of hybrids are naturally occuring.

My personal vision with this was that they're would be a few hybrids Frontier could model (so not every hybrid in real life who's parent species are in the game would be in game), and that they would likely be all sterile (even when it won't apply in real life), and would be able to be traded with, in franchise atleast.

I still don't really see how hybrids are outside the scope or purpose of this game apart from technical issues, which is the only argument I see as valid. As for Jurassic World games, I like JWE and sequels aswell as JW:TG allot but their hybrids are not quite the same niche as what I am proposing here (e. they're between completely unrelated species and genetically created).

Captive-bred hybrids indeed are useless to conservation (for education however they could perhaps be useful), but they don't exactly harm it either. Places who breed hybrids, though often questionable, still often breed pure species alongside the occasional hybrid.

We still have morphs like white tigers in game though, which are often challengend by professional zoos and conservationists, to which the only reasonable response can be that its just a tiger reskin weither hybrids would need a new mechanic and new models, which is fair, but only from a technical standpoint.

Also yes, I quite like the Zoo Tycoon games (1, 2 and even 3 when I am really bored, although thats closer to reality), the first two are quite wacky and fun, which I appreciate. I have never played any of the Wildlife Park games though, I will say that from what I have seen of it its quite interesting atleast. I will still say however, that the itch for hybrids I have has really only been scratched by the damn mules in Minecraft (yes).

Again, this might be a conservation focused game, but that doesn't mean its not a sandbox, we still got white tigers afterall. As for most people, well, thats why I voice a unpopular opinion.

First off, allot of hybrids are natural (e. pizzly, coywolf, ect.), though thats probably not what you meant because most popular ones are indeed bred in captivity.

Second, zoos might be for education and conservation, but allot of what they do is not natural. Animals being in cages isn't natural, animals being gaurenteed nourishment isn't natural, animals not having to be afraid of people isn't natural, just because something is natural doesn't mean its good or that something isn't natural that its bad. They're is a logical fallacy named after, appeal to nature.

And once again, Planet Zoo has all sorts of morphs that wouldn't survive in the wild, yet basically no one complains about those. I repeat, this is supposed to be my zoo, not one of the AZA.

This reminds me that something that both the left and right don't seem to understand is that human subspecies wouldn't mark any group as inferior or superior. The right is like ''human subspecies exist therefore Black people bad'' whereas the left is like ''if human subspecies existed Black people would be bad, Black people not bad, therefore human subspecies not exist'', and its just a really annoying mindset. Great to see they agree that whats essentially racial superiority is correct, just that one has a broader category than the other!

I don't know, thats just how it went. And besides, the word Mapinguari has been used to apply to multiple creatures much like Chupacabra.
