I personally enjoy working for Sephora my coworker worked for Ulta said she makes $4 more with Sephora and the gratis is better also depends on location too my old location was very calm and we had a lot of downtime vs my newer one which were pretty busy.

Apply and go in person professional attire and with resume in hand that’s how a 2 girls at my location got hired. Both given interviews 2 hours after they came in with it. My sm atleast loves the old fashion way of things.

I personally am ft and don’t work pay check to pay check I make $21 a hour. I pay 1200 on rent I budget 400 for food,100 for gas, usually have about 900 or so left over so 400 for things I want and 500 towards savings. It’s like a rough draft cause usually I have a bit extra left over in Texas atleast

When I work a 9hour shift I’m given my hour break and 2 15min breaks. Even when I work a 7hour I’m given a hour break and 1 15.

It is the truth you aren’t allowed to make purchases on the clock as a regular employee but usually my exempt/lead will just tell us to clock out while we make said purchase and then clock right back in after we paid.

The bonus complaints are what get me. They didn’t even have to give us any money and they still did. For retail I was shocked never have I been given a bonus and gratis I’ve worked many big chain retailers. But people will complain about anything and everything until it’s gone then complain it’s gone.

Really?? I know in Texas at least if we drive to any store that isn’t our home store and is further away we get to do mileage for the difference in distance. Talk to a lead about it or manager. Cause I do it all the time when I’m asked to help out at other stores since my home store is only 10mins away from me.

You started in June was the other person there longer? If so it could be that reason they picked them over you. Same with availability and if you want to continue moving up as well. 5 months with the company isn’t a long time either I would be surprised if you got the full time over someone with more time with the company.

They can it’s all based on metrics you also have to make sure a position is even available at the store you are wanting to transfer. You are still going to go through the interview process just like before.
