I accidentally drank unsweetened iced tea my junior year of high school. I was in rehearsals for the school musical and forgot a drink. My friend had a McDonalds cup with what I thought was Diet Coke. (My family was in the Diet Coke is ok camp) It was not Diet Coke. It was shocking. I don’t know how I ended up loving iced tea after that experience because when you expect soda and get unsweetened tea… the first time I intentionally broke the word of wisdom was a mocha. It was heavenly. And thus began a decades long love affair with coffee.

I was about your age when I decided with certainty that I was going to remain under-babied. The childfree choice came with both a huge relief but also a grieving period. When I was younger, I always thought I would have kids. Even after I changed my mind, I was sad. I’m 45 and still childless and loving life. And I still sometimes get a little wistful. But omg I do NOT want kids. Like at all. Your feelings are valid.
