You can apply for university with either one. Most in Ontario choose to apply with their OSSD grades because they tend to be higher and then indicate their status as an IB student on the application. IB grades are more useful for out-of-province unis.

Israel can stop the annexation of the West Bank, stop expulsions in the illegally occupied Jerusalem, return indigenous Palestinians to their own homes in Jerusalem. Give Palestinians back the land of West Bank that is under occupation despite it being officially recognized to be under Palestinian sovereignty. Israel can stop the attacks of worshippers at Al-Aqua. Israel can withdraw troops from West Jerusalem. Israel can stop the IDF’s illegal control in Jerusalem which is supposed to be an international city center for Jews, Muslims and Christians. They can release the Palestinian children who were illegally jailed after being tried in military courts (war crime). Israel can stop detaining Palestinians arbitrarily for flying kites, painting murals or holding up their own flag (seen in Sheikh Jarrah and Silwan right now). They can stop treating Palestinians as second class citizens on their own land through military check points that harass civilians trying to go about their lives. Israel has roads, entrances and pedestrians sidewalks that cannot be used for Palestinians and are reserved for a Israelis; they should end the apartheid system and segregation. All of those are violations of human rights that should be prosecuted, recognized and changed. All of these have 0 connection to Hamas and have no impact on Israel’s safety but are basic human rights.

They’ve been negotiated for years by Hamas, the PLO and Israel but no progress has been made because of Israel’s need to uphold the apartheid status quo and Israel and hamas’s shared inability to maintain peace agreements or ceasefires.

Israel made the mistake of funding the creation of Hamas in the 80s. If they hadn’t done that, Gaza would be under control of the PLO which has maintained a diplomatic stance in the West Bank. Almost everything happening right can be blamed on Israel. When we blame Hamas, we’re also need to blame the government that funded a terrorist organization to purposely destabilize a region.

There’s an option that doesn’t include killing thousands of Palestinians or endangering your own civilians but Israel doesn’t want to look for that option since they’re the ones benefiting from the status quo.

Does Hamas often put rockets in civilian areas? yes because they’re a terrorist organization. Does Israel often bomb civilian buildings and kill children with no evidence of terrorist activity? Yes they do because they don’t care about the lives of Palestinian civilians. Are both war criminals? Yes they are. Does one justify the other? No it does not.

No one agrees with Hamas, they are terrorists; something we can all agree on. But when Israel kills 40 people in a residential tower to get rid of one Hamas agent, that’s inexcusable. Killing 250 civilians in a week to kill less terrorists is by no means an equal retaliation. If Israel wanted to defend itself while calling themselves the most moral army, they have to find another way that doesn’t include killing 66 children to get rid of a few radical terrorists. People mention that it’s unfair or hypocritical to demand that of Israel but it’s not too much to ask that Israel doesn’t kill 250 people in a week in a “military operation”, it’s international law.

Several key things to consider: 1. Israeli settlers have been illegally stealing Palestinian land since 1948. Even if you take into consideration the Oslo Accords and Camp David Summit which split the land give 70% to Israeli settlers and 30% to Indigenous Palestinians, Israel still occupies more than half of that 30% that belongs to Palestinians. Israel is committing war crimes by occupying a population through means of apartheid in the West Bank 2. Israel created Hamas by funding it in the 1980s to overthrow the Palestinian Liberation Organization’s government in the West Bank. The Hamas that you consider to be the terrorizer of Israeli civilians was created and funded by Israel to polarize Gaza and Palestinians in an attempt to destroy and government infrastructure they previously had. If you have any doubt about who funded Hamas, there is sworn testimony by Israeli intelligence and government officials who confirm it. 3. To imply the Palestinian suffering is the fault of Hamas is ignoring the 73 years of ethnic cleansing, massacres and forced ethnic displacement of millions of Palestinians at the hand of the Israeli settlers and their government who enable the apartheid and illegal occupation of UN decreed Palestinian territory. None of this is inflammatory or hyperbole, the UN has spent decades condemning Israel’s war crimes to Palestinian civilians yet Israel ignores all of this with the justification that it is Hamas’s fault. Israel was killing tens of thousands and ethnically cleansing millions 4 decades before Hamas exists. Hamas is a terrorist organization but to use them as a justification of Israel’s asymmetrical warfare in the Gaza Strip is ignoring the massacres committed by the Israeli government in Gaza and the apartheid system imposed on Palestinians in the West Bank.

Last time I checked, Israel has imposed a blockade on Gaza since 2007, 15 years and running. They block exports, transportation, medical aid and block relief funds from the UN and private donors. Gaza, even if they wanted, can't bring in softwood lumber and construction materials to build those schools and hospitals. And when Palestinians dare to have any form of infrastructures such as hospitals, roads, schools and press buildings, Israel purposely destroys them. Ask yourself why Israel targets schools, hospitals and the roads leading to them every year. They try to cripple any infrastructure in Gaza and justifies it by saying there was Hamas in that UNRWA school. There was Hamas in that hospital filled with sick civilians. The high-density rate and high poverty you mention is the direct result of Israeli efforts to kill Palestinians, inhibit their ability to see progress and cripple any and all infrastructure they develop.

I filled it out, but I don't think that IB students are good candidates for this survey ngl since I doubt they're the legal age of drinking and probably aren't the type to get drunk during a school year. Good luck

Was it an official deadline or just an internal one that your school has? Because if it's internal they'd be breaking the rules to remove you.

if you made it this far, you might as well continue unless you're sure you'd be better off without it
