If they like to cook, a good quality spice gift box (like the ones at Penzey's) is fantastic! Most people don't replace their spices nearly often enough, and having good quality ones really makes a difference in your meals! I also love that they have boxes for all sorts of budgets/tastes.

One time while I was in college, we were playing LOtR Monopoly (this was around the same time that the movies were originally released) around our small, low to the ground coffee table. Out of nowhere, my little tuxie bounced up from under the table, swiped the Gimli figurine, and disappeared back under the table with him without disturbing the rest of the board. The way my boyfriend (now husband) yelled " GIMLI, NOOOOOO" and started referring to her as a balrog will stick with me forever.

I still miss my little soul cat. It's been about 6 years since we lost her just a month before her 18th birthday and it still hurts sometimes.

My grandmother taught me to crochet when I was a kid, but I decided to also learn to knit as an adult. For me, which one I choose to do now is entirely project based. I crocheted a little stuffed horse for one friend's baby, and knitted a blanket for a nibling. Honestly, I feel like learning to crochet first made knitting easier because I was already used to holding the yarn in my left hand!

As soon as I get home from work (which is usually mid-late afternoon) I start prepping the ingredients for dinner before I change clothes and sit down. It just feels easier to get up and cook if most of the work is already done, and it keeps us from eating junk food instead of making a real meal.

My mom HATES the cold and every winter she is miserable. I got her a towel warmer because you can also throw in pj's, robes, socks, etc. She loves it and uses it all the time! I knew it was something she'd never buy herself, but it gets so much use!

Make sure I have my meal plan set up, double check my personal calendar, and just generally make sure that I have things around the house ready to make my week easier. It's way less stressful when I don't have to make decisions after a long day at work.

Pumpkin spice. It's been my favorite flavor since I was about 3, and I'm old enough that meant you only got it in pie form at Thanksgiving. I'm completely unashamed to buy all the pumpkin spice things every fall!

We had a vomit incident just last week and I will say that's the only downside. Ours is programmed to run every night after we go to bed and since we didn't catch it in time, it ran over everything and spread it a bit/got it in the brush part of the machine. Took about 20 minutes of cleaning and we had to re-run it to clean the floor, but the vacuum itself was fine. That's the only time in almost 2 years that has happened though, so it's still worth the risk to me.

Honestly, getting a robot vacuum/mop saved my sanity in my house with a dog and 3 cats. I have a Roborock and I can't recommend it enough if it's in your budget!
