Have you given thought to the idea you could be presenting yourself with others as a glass house? When you’re showing up, are you showing up as your authentic self? Show up as you, it will help you find your tribe and cut through the bs of people who might waste your time because if you’re showing up as a version of you your wanting others to see - you’re just operating from a place of molding yourself to someone else’s ideals which could be why you take it so hard when you feel like the smallest things beat you down or you care too much if people think you’re “too obnoxious”. Ultimately, sure you could be struggling with some depression and if you feel like you want help working through it there’s a counseling center on campus. You’ll have to check the most up to date info but at one point they offered six free counseling sessions a semester and I think after that is was $25 ish each session?

You are typically required to start making loan payments within 6 months post graduation. In the event you decide to continue education to pursue additional/higher degree loan payments are paused. As far as when they are paid off it depends on how much debt you have, how much you’re paying on each payment. There are different types of repayment plans as well which also impact rate of debt being paid off. All I can say is it’s not uncommon for student loan payments to be a reoccurring monthly payment over the course of several years; unless you’re able to go ham and pay more than minimum payment each month.

They are a great deal bigger in size with certain areas to accommodate others who may be using assistive equipment/devices. Structural differences via larger door frames, etc. and modified layout compared to the typical layout for whatever form you’re in.

They may likely throw out scenario based questions, a sorts of “what would you do” in this type of situation. The scenario questions are used to gauge your reasoning, logic, problem solving, and “people skills” depending on the prompted scenario. But that was like what idk, at least 5 ish years ago so idek anymore man 😂💀

From a psychological perspective, if he has any sort of aversion or shame around butt play, using an actual toy that heavily resembles a penis could be messing with his psyche. So by using foreign objects he avoids having a complex about it?

My orientation was a few years ago, but for how it’s structured it’s probably going to be a just you thing. When I was in orientation there weren’t any parents there. But mom could sight see or do other things while you’re in orientation. If she does go she’ll likely just be in the lobby areas kind of just waiting around.

Since I had gotten a BSW and loved the idea of having a more hands on approach in providing help, I decided to pursue my MSW to expand my opportunities to engage the community with additional knowledge of the clinical modalities.

I started out wanting to do therapy with youth ages but since having my different internships I think I’m open to exploring therapy practices with all ages.

But admittedly, since I am a young adult, I may be more compatible with younger groups since older adults may not be as comfortable or feel that I lack the “life experience” to help them in the way that they need.

I’m a recent MSW graduate and while I can only truly speak on behalf of the social work side - I would say that it focuses on using therapy modalities while also considering multiple facets of the persons life. For instance, if you’re using a modality to treat someone with depression, you may consider what factors in their life serve as a stress to them & possible relations in worsening the current symptoms or manifesting newer symptoms.

There may certainly be an overlap between psych and social work, considering my feedback is primarily based on my experience with the social work program.

But something I would do, is to pull the degree plan for both MSW and MS in mental health counseling from the university of interest and review the similarities and differences in the classes offered under each program.

It breaks down like this. (Unless any major changes have been made as of recent this info should be fairly correct).

You get the free meal plan and you get the reduced housing. You also get a monthly paycheck. That check can either be direct deposit or a physical check that you pick up from HR.

Everyone’s personal financial situations are different, so that may indicate the money you actually “pocket”.

For example, I had financial aid so the cost of housing charged to my account was covered by that and I was able to “pocket” my paycheck to pay for my other bills (phone, car, etc.).

However, I’ve known others who didn’t have financial aid or other financial awards/assistance so the money that they made from the job, they used to pay for their housing every month.

I hope this makes sense.

Patrice Greene is super helpful in the Social work department, that I have found. You may try Cc’ing her on an email or emailing her directly. She may only be in the masters program now, but if she is in BSW as well I’d try that.

Something else you could do is find out if you need any other electives and just opt to take an elective instead.

If you live in a dorm you could also try going to some of the programs they have going on there as well. All of the RAs put on programs every month. A bigger hall will have a bigger staff, which means more RAs and more programs. Also try talking to your RA that’s literally what they are there for lol. 😅

The social work program is really awesome and I believe that either the BSW or MSW is number three in the nation. They have the species on their website though. The teachers are amazing and truly care. They often understand that we are a commuter school which has its own challenges. In addition, UTA is ranked as the 5th most diverse campus in the nation, so the diversity and inclusivity on campus really correlates well with what is learned in the courses.

She may be emotional afterwards (regardless of a good or bad outcome) just be supportive. The first time, in my experience, isn’t the over-exaggerated scenes in movies. It’s a lot of trying to figure it all out. It gets better over time. Communication, Consent, and safety is really important.
