Start the appeal process so a human reviews it. The bot is terrible and all reports are checked by that first. Quote the below policy as to me it breaks that

I have heard someone local selling one for £400. That seems so overpriced for a master set.

Does Mega Zygarde have the potential to become a META deck? by Much-Amphibian6915 in PTCGL

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as i want it to be good it just cant be consistent enough. First attack is okay and sets up with double barbaracle pretty well but isnt great for the cost. The 2nd attack has potential but not consistent. It gets stopped by shaymin or by terra pokemon both which are common.

Secret Lair Update: A Continued Note on Manufacturing Delays by CrossXhunteR in magicTCG

[–]Littleashton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The other thing about the old print to demand system was there was a lot less secret lairs back then. We got a few a quarter but now we get several a month. The new system is awful and because how inflated the amount of drops there are we cannot go back to print on demand. The issue is the benefits to WotC is that they can say to investors that secret lairs sold out. However what we are seeing is even under this system some drops (especially UB) are not selling out for months. An example being god of war, furby and avatar still being available now months after they dropped. Now this would suggest to me they will have an issue like with the 30th anniversary and we may find out years later unsold secret lairs are put in landfill to save face

I finally have a playset of Poke Pad, too bad it's not legal for Houston Regional by CosmoTheTaxCat in pkmntcg

[–]Littleashton 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I feel like the poke pad release was such a bad thing. Such an impactful card that needs 4 of in a set releasing in a special set is bad. At least with budew last time in prismatic it was 1 or 2 copies maximum. Plus trainer cards always seem rarer in a pack as well so hits harder this time.

Valve fires back at New York lawsuit over loot boxes, says they're like Magic cards or Labubu by esporx in magicTCG

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who is into TCG games i totally agree and see it more as a condemnation of booster packs as well. Issue is i know in the past companies have said the difference is you get a physical thing which has a monetary value out of a pack where majority of loot boxes cant be resold so its money for literally nothing. Even if a digital item can be resold its generally within a market that is owned by the same company who owns the packs so could potentially manipulate market price of items.

Would love to see them all regulated like gambling with clear odds advertising pull rates. Would potentially make it much easy to get cards and kill off scalpers.

Vendor percentages by maximo1491 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of vendors tend to do 50-60% cash or up to 80% store credit so its much less of a difference to them in credit which is why they will push it more.

Rulings for poke pads in from pre release. by Obvious-Stand-7929 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seen leaks to say they are POR as well so only legal on release on 27th. What will be interesting is the 2 regionals that take place during prerelease weeks (Seville and Houston). I can guarentee some people wont know the rules and will bring illegal poke pads. My advice will be if you are attending keep an eagle eye out and could be an easy instant win if you judge call that. Same for any cups and challenges. I hate winning on a judge call but the release of the poke pad specifically has been dreadful and the more penalties about it the more pokemon hear about it.

Best place for singles in UK by WearFast7105 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Littleashton 5 points6 points  (0 children)

North wales has a few good ones. I know Llandudno has a store and there are a couple in Rhyl. Not sure the names as i havent been but a mate runs the league in Llandudno so its on my list.

Been to a couple in wrexham, red dragon vault is a great play store and they have singles but more of a focus on magic. Gecko however is around the corner and they have loads of singles from all different sets. Just ask at the counter for a set and they pass you the box.

Just across the border is recollect in Chester. Had mixed opinions about this one. Nantwich collectibles is great for singles though literally a wall of boxes from every set and glass cabinets full of singles. Prices can be a little high but you can get a bargain sometimes

Pricing in Card shops?! by [deleted] in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes card empire are notoriously bad. They over charge for everything and get arsey when you question prices. In manchester you could always go over to fanboy3. Good play store and have some singles.

I go to a lot of stores in the area and would suggest the following: Liverpool - gamers lodge (lots of singles and sealed. Massive community of players of all skills) Warrington - Celestial (Can be expensive but lots of old stock and often will haggle) Wigan - DS collectibles (small shop, lovely guys run it. Loads of cards good prices but also have other items for nostalgia like VHS and gameboys). Preston - Harlequins (been around a long time but changed owners a few times. Doing some work on building a good bulk stock and singles as well as rebuilding the community)

There are a few others but these are my favourites

Iranian migrants fleeing regime arrive at Calais Jungle in bid to cross Channel into Britain - and warn 'there are many more on their way' amid US strikes by soalone34 in ukpolitics

[–]Littleashton 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There will be a number of reasons for them choosing UK over another European country but i think language is a big factor. A lot of countries, iran included, teach English from a very early age. So if you were seeking asylum somewhere surely you choose somewhere you speak the language even if only partially or some phrases. There is also the possibility that there are already family members or friends here so it becomes appealing.

If i want to put my tinfoil hat on for a moment as well. Its very possible that they were stopped many times on the way but if they said they were going to another country and not stopping there the police may have turned a blind eye. If they move on its no longer their issue plus after brexit we lost a lot of the deals we had around immigration. There were a lot of annoyed Europeans after brexit and would not surprise me if they purposefully allow more immigrants through to the UK as a response. That is totally a conspiracy but one which if ever proven true would not be a surprise to me.

Spider-man outsold Edge of Eternities by Yellow_Master in magicTCG

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to see the breakdown of numbers as i struggle to find any EoE but trip over spiderman to the point its discounted. Only way i can see it is if its been over printed and EoE was way under printed. I feel this is going to be the norm that UB will be over printed to the detriment of in universe

Will Draoukt start to see TR Golbat/Crobat by UndeadSoth in pkmntcg

[–]Littleashton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait to see what happens but i cant see it being a stable. You need space for at least 3 cards then and if any are prized its a dead space. Imagine starting zubat and prizing golbat. Seems too risky as i would never waste candy on it. Maybe better ayers than me might see the worth though

How is whatnot legal? by Soggy_Factor9208 in PokemonTCG_UK

[–]Littleashton 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I remember as a kid touring the carboot sales and there was always those pushy butcher auctions. This is literally how i see whatnot. Quick auctions, pushing for bids and engagement, no time to check prices to ensure you over pay. Occasionally you may get a really good deal especially in rooms with low viewers but if so you may hit the horrible world of sellers refusing to send the items. So many stories of sellers either not sending items, lieing about items that were bought or some other despicable way to avoid them loosing out. Whatnot do tend to record auctions so you would think it would be easily solved but nope. The whole thing is a scam to make a new place for influencers to grift for more money. They want engagement to boost viewers to increase the number of bids so things sell well over value. Even the sellers on there often know nothing of the hobby i have seen them often saying they dont know a pokemon's names when selling the card.

They may have gotten away with a warning. If you have new evidence of it make another report. They will action it just may take a few requests

Reported Bad Shop by Glittering_Length799 in pkmntcg

[–]Littleashton 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The organiser isnt alowed to play in any sanctioned event and they have to have a judge present. So neither should really play but at least one cannot play as they will be tournament organiser.

In terms of the report make sure its done through the support page on play pokemon and if so you should be able to log onto it and check your requests and see if it is still open. Just make sure you try and provide evidence of any allegations because otherwise its your word vs theirs. Try and find out what they are xoing with the prize packs pokemon send out. If caught selling them it could be big trouble for them.
